Magnificent Obsession: Why Jesus is Great

Creative & instructive. The author wrote insightful letters to a skeptic/friend full of Jesus and yet meeting his friend where he was at. The book will give many good illustrations, examples of common beliefs that aim to defeat Christianity, good quotes (not just mainstream but from many traditions), Scripture references, and all still quite devotional letters about Jesus. I really thank the Lord I read this book.

The letters written to "J" are as if one is talking to someone who responds in easy to understand language. An enjoyable and enlightening read for the non-Christian seeking answers as well as the Disciple who wishes to know more so to share the gospel in a knowledgeable way.

An excellent and insightful book about the Bible and historical facts about the authenticity of Jesus. It opens up your mind and welcomes you to the evidence of truth.

If I could give more than five stars I would. Simply the best book of practical apologetics. He takes on the atheists in a convincing way. Not that this will change anyone. Only the Holy Spirit does that work.

An excellent absorbing book - very suitable for those who are totally confused about religion in general and the Christian faith in particular. But I warn you its message is dangerous, especially for those who have dismissed Christianity without ever having genuinely looked into its claims.

This is a terrific book and so clearly written. The style is captivating and covers the various themes concisely and logically.. Could not put it down- highly recommended..
