Float trip saver!
This is a wonderful alternative to high price, high failure rate, waterproof cases. For most phone users you can use your own case with this pouch, and continue to use your phone through the pouch. The price asked for the KONA XL Pouch currently is $14.95. $15 bucks to protect your $400+, and in some instances $1000, phone from the elements. That is a small price to pay to protect something, to some of us, that is so valuable. The material used for the main section of the pouch is clear PVC. KONA claims to have a 30% stronger seam weld on their pouch versus others, and while the actual value can not be confirmed by myself, in my opinion, it does feel stronger at the seam then the previous pouch I owned. While in the water, actually submerged, the phone was easy to see.I used this pouch on our recent float trip in the Texas Hill Country, and two hours on the river, not a single drop of water got into the pouch through the seams or the top locking seal. It protected my iPhone 6+ from harm, but did cause the phone to overheat in the Texas sun faster. A quick dunk into the rivers cool water, chilled the phone down to a usable temp.KONA includes a lanyard with each pouch. While I found it annoying to be around my neck, it was easy to tether my phone to the inner tube so it was not lost. For use I would suggest to place your phone in the pouch with the bottom towards the opening. This way, while in use, water is going to fall off the seal, instead of resting on it. The pouch has enough room to hold your ID and cards, most phones, and in some cases a spare battery. The Anker’s PowerCore 10000 gives its dimensions, and that battery, with a little work, fit with my phone in the pouch. Could not use it to charge in this manner as the lightning plug on my iXCC cable was too long and would not allow the seal to close. If you get any waterproof pouch, bag, or case, please test it fully submerged for at least a few hours. My pouch was tested when received for 6 hours under 12 inches of water. I filled the cavity inside with paper towels and when the pouch was pulled out, the paper towels had not absorbed any water.

The only phone case for water protection
The best case for my iPhone. Finally! I purchased this brand a few years ago. I think 2017 and now again 2024. Well, I ordered a few other brands this month and they didn’t fit my phone. They didn’t open wide enough or cheaply made. One case actually broke my screen protector. Then, I saw a recommendation for this brand. And, I noticed it was a case I had many years ago. I was thrilled to find it. It’s definitely one of the best cases out there. With the previous case, we were able to take in ocean and snorkel and do other water activities. No issue with water. I would never consider another case besides this one. I’m so happy to find it again. It’s nicely made. Nice size. Can use with case. Holds up for years. Nothing negative about case. Biggest positive is the opening and size. Others can’t compare. Not cheaply made.

Great product, but ultimately didn't work with my screen protector.
Ultimately returned this pouch, but will work great for some. Costumer service was very responsive and the return process was easy.Pros: Pouch is completely waterproof, as stated, and the clarity is great for taking photographs while using . It feels durable and the lanyard strap makes it easy and secure to carry. The touchscreen functionality is a little off, but still perfectly acceptable.Cons: It was very difficult to get the phone in and out of the pouch. The material clings very strongly to the phone and unfortunately to the screen protector. When removing it, my screen protector was pulled partway off. The suggestions from the company were to use it without a screen protector and to put a bit of powder on the sides of the phone to ease being able to put it into the pouch. Removing the screen protector is undesirable, of course, as it would be ruined, and I also didn't like the idea of putting powder on the phone. Aside from the potential for damage to the device, I assume it would cloud the ability to take clear photos through the pouch, which was a large selling point for me. As stated above, customer service responded quickly to my concerns and processed my return request promptly. *I do not use a glass screen protector, and I assume you would not have the same issue I did if you have a glass screen protector*

It really works...
These are the best. This was a re-order since I lost one of the original ones I had. It keeps contents dry. We use them at the Water Park so they are in and out of the water in the pool, lazy river and other water rides. Also, you can take pictures with your phone without removing the phone from the pouch. The pictures are clear as if the phone was in your hand.

Awesome customer service
I bought this case for a up coming vacation to the Keys. I wanted a case big enough to hold my Moto G5 plus with a case. I ordered it with one day shipping. It came on time. First I checked to see if my phone with case would fit in the bag. It did. Next it water tested it. I put a paper napkin in it and submurged it in the sink for about a half hour. I then removed it and set it aside to let the bag dry. When it was dry I opened the bag and removed the napkin. It had a few water spots on it. So I did not trust it enough with my new phone. Why I'm giving 5 stars. Company has great customer service. See when I set bag aside to dry I set it on something sticky. The more I tried removing the sticky residue only made it worse. So I wasn't even going to bother trying to return. Since I'm the one that damaged it. Though when I got back from my vacation I saw email from Kona asking if I had received the product. I told them I had and told them everything that happened. They are sending me a replacement. Based on this experience I would recommend them to my family and friends
