BeadalonWire Rounder Burr Attachment Use with Battery Operated Bead Reamer and 20 and Smaller Gauge Wires

I bought a Beadalon bracelet loom and I also bought a wire jig, and reading the instructions for these, I realized that I needed this item (and the corresponding battery operated bead reamer, which is also available on Amazon). The existence of this item actually solved a puzzle for me. I have been playing with wire for some time but I always had issues getting poked/scraped by the ends, no matter how nicely I tried to tuck them under other bits of my work. How nice to know there is an item designed to round the ends!This is easy to attach to the battery-operated bead reamer (sold separately). It doesn't come loose unless you want to remove it. It doesn't take long to smooth out the cut end(s) of the wire. The battery operated reamer is not exactly the most powerful device, but then again, this is a review of the burr rounder attachment and not the reamer.This is good for 20 gauge wire and smaller. I've been using it on Artistic Wire and copper and it is fine for both (it may remove some color from the ends of the Artistic Wire, though, since this is just coated to add color). I sort of wish this worked on 16 and 18 gauge wire, but then again, I use 20 gauge most often with the looms/jigs I have. (And I have just now seen that a different attachment for 16 and 18 gauge wire is available, so I ordered that as well.)Anyway, this is convenient for making wire elements that don't poke you and so are more comfortable to wear. It is easy to use. Please note the discussion of wire sizes above and in the product description so you end up with an item that will work for you.

It doesn't do larger gage wire, but ear wires can have a rough end on them and this rounder makes them soft as butter. Very good

Best tool ever. Leave wire smooth and proffesional. I bought an electric reemer and attached it to it and it’s done in no time and leaves a proffesional finish on my earring hooks. I also make mini hangers for my crochet mini dresses and the hook part of the hanger comes out super smooth.

Product too tiny. Takes awhile to round the edges of wires.

Works! I was starting to believe that rounding wire ends was just talk. But it works... but use the 1 that fits your gauge or thickness of wire. Works better when the cup is the same size as the wire.

It was a waste of money. The product did not look like what it seemed on the picture, and it did not smooth anything down. It didn’t round off the earring tip. I would never buy this again.

I stripped the red sleeve so it could fit in my regular drill, and it works beautifully. I used it on craft wire, stainless steel, and titanium.
