Big and cool but....
Box arrived badly hit on the side...when picture was taken as prove that it was left in front of my door, the hit side was hidden...This is a Prime product...was it shipped and handled by Amazon? I doubt it, in 5 years with Amazon something like this had never happened...still...the monitor came damaged on the side...how stupid! An over $1000 destroyed and left in front of my door as if nothing had happened! I was sorely disappointed.---------------Update Nov. 12, 2019---------------As I called two weeks ago on a Saturday I was promised that I would have someone pick it up on Sunday and that by Monday I would have a replacement.Relieved I ended the call and did not think much of it. I received no confirmation email. Called again, another agent said that I would get the confirmation 3 hrs later...still no confirmation, called again...explained to another representative and then I asked for a supervisor, explained part of the problem again.Supervisor was extremely nice. Explained I would not have the monitor picked up on a Sunday but on Monday, and that there are no replacements, and nothing on the warehouse to sell me. Fully refunded...still in process...a week after that I noticed the monitor back...ordered it.Box came perfect, I even saw the handlers who gave me the new monitor with a big smile. Unpacked and I am using it as I type...still I have a new problem...the screen constantly goes off and on for like a second or two...why is this happening? My other Asus and an LG monitors in my office do not go off...why is this one going off? It seems to me something to do with the static...If I am wearing a robe with much static it will go on and off some 20 times until I lose it, turn it off, and remove all my clothes to be able to use it...this monitor is either sadistic or I am the biggest unluckiest shopper right now...what will I do?I will call technical support, if it does not work, I return it and maybe...maybe...order a third one just in case...there...it just went off twice...anyways... In the end...I want to keep it, it is beautiful, the settings are hard to follow and the pixels are not as perfect and crisp as they should be, but it is not that bad either, the 43" is something I am used with now...if I end up giving up on this beautiful monitor, I will have to find another brand that is about this size and can actually ... work...Stay tuned, next update coming up...one start added, let us hope Amazon can help me keep it.--------------Updated Feb. 23, 2020---------------I got a third one. No cracks...no scratches...trust me...I tried to find a new reason to get upset but Amazon was so good this time! No flickering, no screen leaking...I have gotten this one since December and I love it...gaming and programming is awesome. Amazon prime redeemed itself!--------------Update Sep. 25, 2020---------------My monitor started flickering, or going on and off just like the second 10 months later. Sad..--------------Update Nov. 3rd, 2020---------------The flickering problem has stopped. On the 26th of Sept. I turned it off and on manually. It goes off and on somehow due to the power button on the back screen. It may be sensitive. Anyways. Ever since the 26th...no more flickering issues!

Review of 43" ROG gaming monitor
This is a gaming monitor, so that is what my review is based on. I did my research prior to making this purchase. I am currently using a PS4 pro with a 27" ROG monitor. Which led me to purchasing this larger version.I went from a 70" LCD tv to the 27" monitor for better response and overall gaming experience. Night and day difference. I have had plasma and lcd, led tv's etc. The price on this vs and OLED tv or QLED tv was in the same ballpark. The one caveat being burn in or picture retention.I play FPS like COD, Battlefield and currently Apex Legends. HUD in game will burn in because it is static and stays there and with this monitor unlike other options I don't have to worry about that. Now on to the review. Out of the box it shipped fast arrived undamaged. Took 5 minutes to get it out of the box and set up and running on my stand. I did not Versa mount it as of yet. Fired up the PS4 and spent about 5 minutes tweaking the settings to get a good in game picture quality. Here is where this monitor shines for me. The picture quality is awesome, not quite as bright as my 27", but there is an enhanced feature on this monitor called shadow boost i think, and this makes harder to see areas in game shine while not making the sunlight burn your retinas out of your skull.I have spent some time with this monitor over the last day or so and the remote comes in handy for switching between video settings and that is about it. I wish it was a more interactive remote that you could control all functions with. That really is my only complaint. I can't speak to the speaker quality as I use a wireless headset. And if I need to say watch a movie with the family I run all of my outside Audio through a Denon receiver and amplifier set up to my surround sound speaker system.Overall this unit delivers on every visual aspect one could want for console gaming. I hooked my computer up to it as well and it worked well with that as well.Watching movies through netflix and prime they look fabulous, crisp details true blacks. I am sure movies would look a little better on say an oled tv, but since this was secondary for me the gaming is where it shines. In Apex alone I saw a huge difference, not being blinded by the sun or the ring for that matter yet still being able to see enemies crouching in a corner.Bottom line if you are on the fence and have a smaller monitor and want to upgrade go for it you will not be disappointed. One of the other selling points is this monitor will be able to run with the next gen consoles as well which is huge right now because I don't want to buy another monitor in a year.On a side note I am 45 years old so my eyesight is not as good as it used to be, and this monitor makes me feel like a kid again with what I have actually been missing.
