Tighten down battery cover as you would a new tire. No leaks, works fine, and son has loved it for a while now.

It worked ONE TIME, once the batteries died and I changed them.. it would not come on at ALL

It is a nice and fun little bath toy overall but the led light is too bright unless in bright sunlight. The quality is not as good as I have expected. The battery covering plate is not smooth with the device after closing it. The connection between the top and bottom part of the body have some rough surfaces. Other than that, this toy is fun that water will shoot up about 7 inches from it. For the price it cost, this little bath toy is worth the money. I think most of the babies will love it.

Don't buy this bath toy! Read the reviews and notice that there is a common theme about this toy! It does not last!! The one I purchased for my daughter worked for only two weeks. After it stopped working I made the assumption that it was just the batteries. As soon as I opened the door for the batteries I noticed water corrosion and could hear water within the toy. Needless to say after I attempted to dry it out it still never worked.I would recommend looking for something with at least a 3 star rating it you want a quality bath toy for your special little one.

I bought this for my 10 month old son. He loved it. It lights up and squirts water out of the top like a fountain. It was very funny to watch him. He'd put his head down toward it and look surprised when he would get sprayed in the face, or he'd try to pick it up to drink the water, not realizing the toy pulls the water from underneath (so does not spray unless in water). It is a really cute little bath toy and definitely worth the price.

I was so skeptable about buying this because there are so many bad reviews on it but I decided to give it a try. Well I got a good one! I am very careful when I change the batteries. I dry it and let it set for a day before I open it so no water or even any moisture gets inside then I change the batteries. We are going 6 months and it is still working. It does use a lot of battery power though. We have to change the batteries about every 2 weeks. But we use it every day in the bath and it is running the whole time during the bath (about 15 - 20 minutes) so I would expect that. It's working and so I don't care. We love it.

Our star fountains (we have three) work great and my toddler loves this toy not only for bath time but in the water table and sink play. The water shoots very high and the star spins around for her to chase after. The battery fit issue everyone keeps mentioning isn't one for us as long as we use batteries that do not have a bulky outer plastic label on them like some wholesale store brands do. Energizers work great! I'm disappointed I can't buy more with my prime shipping because the item is under review. Come on guys, if you have kids you should know battery installation in various toys is an art!

We have purchased 2 of these. My 11month daughter goes absolutely insane for this toy. Unfortunately, our first quit working because of battery corrosion. My boyfriend ordered another one, but for some reason the button will get stuck unless I use some sort of tool to manipulate the button. Recently we noticed that it turned on randomly. Its a shame, because my daughter loves it soooo much. Its a very fun toy. It lights up, spins around and shoots a fountain of water. Hopefully munchkin confronts these issues, because it really is a great bath toy!
