VARI BIT VB8 1PK HOLE SIZE 3/16"-7/8"

This thing cuts through 1/4 inch steel like butter. Drilled 12 1/2 inch holes in 1/ 4 inch steel and it cuts as good as it did the first time.

This bit arrived in what appeared to be new factory packaging. Upon first opening, it looked good, but when I tried drilling through a mild steel electrical box, it was as if someone had tried drilling concrete with the tip. Duller than a rusty spoon. I have another bit just like this that I’ve drilled hundreds of holes with over the last few years, and it is still much sharper than this supposedly new bit. I informed the seller and they issued me a full refund without any hassle. I guess I’m not really out anything, but am now looking for another truly new, and sharp, bit like this. Disappointed in the product, but the seller made it right with me.

Lenox is the best cone bit made, these arrived promptly.

For an electrician this should be required. It's big enough (7/8") to drill 1/2" trade size holes. The Lenox has two cutting edges which makes drilling easier and faster (most other versions of this type of bit have only one cutting edge). In addition I've just found Lenox better than any other brand across the board.

Highly recommend the Lenox Varibit. The two flute design is much better than the single flute found in other step drills.

USE STEP DRILLS ON A DAILY BASIS.THESE ARE THE BEST.THEY SEEM TO LAST THE LONGEST.WORTH THE EXTRA COUPLE OF DOLLARS

Won't be buying another one. only used it a couple times and already there is a chip out of a cutting edge
