Hard to get to, but easy to replace
The media could not be loaded. Numerous online videos show the complete procedure for opening the motor housing on many different air compressors. My problem was with a pancake-style air compressor. After using it for a few years, it would run but never shut off. After figuring out the problem and ordering this switch, it came time to do the replacement. Like most over-confident do-it-yerselfers, I jumped into the project without knowing what-all needed to be done.It didn't take long before I surrendered and did an on-line search.Armed with new knowledge, I continued the dis-assembly and replaced the defective part with ease. Putting everything back together wasn't as easy, but I remembered where all the screws went and didn't have any left-over parts.Replacing this switch requires a complete dis-assembly of the motor housing. See video. It's actually pretty easy. The new switch works fine... the motor runs until pressure is built up in the tank, then shuts off - just like it's supposed to.
