Having recently decided to emigrate from the UK to Canada, and being at the very beginning of this (long) journey, I decided to start trying to educate myself about Canada. This book was informative, funny and accessabile. The information is bitesize and many signposts are made to find out more information on a certain topic if you want to. I already feel like I have learnt a lot from it, and I will be looking for some of the books suggested in the reading list at the end. Brilliant book, I recommend!

LOVE this book so much! We have a little dream to move to canada , and this book really did tell us the most randomly Interesting and helpful info! Well written, funny and feels authentic. The only point to be wary of, is it is aimed at people who currently live in the US , however only some parts are specific to them, the rest is about Canada in general.

Just as it says in the title-this is a wonderful collection of everything a person could need to know about Canada's history, geography, the lifestyle out there and information about places all across the country and its provinces.Also includes general trivia, cute drawings and a joy to read! Fantastic, eh?It's making me want to go there more than ever and enjoy everything Canada has to offer! :)

Written for Americans and a light-hearted introduction to those wanting to emigrate to Canada. It includes language, culture, trivia, paperwork and food among other things. The author does show a bit of bitterness about some American attitudes toward Canadians as well as some critiques of America scattered through the book. The book also included a couple useless quizzes. But overall readable and informative.

It’s for people from the USA, not really worth it for anyone from the UK.

My husband and I dream about moving from the U.S. to Canada, but for various reasons, it's not going to happen. However, I really enjoyed reading this book. A lot of it is very amusing, as well as useful information if you really do want to move there.

Me encanta y apenas llevo los primeros capítulos; un libro muy completo con palabras de jergas canadienses comprenderás muchísimo sobre cómo es que se hacen llamar provincias, su historia y demás tips que te dará este pequeño librito de bolsillo.

Me mudo pronto a Canadá por trabajo, y hay cosas del país que aún no conocía. Me ha parecido una buena forma de enriquecer el conocimiento básico del sitio en el que voy a pasar un tiempo.
