Truly laugh out loud
Stephen's wit stays sharp thoughout this book. There are several laugh out loud moments. I read this book before bed every night to put me a good mood. I would literally go to sleep with a smile on face, thinking how hilarious the book was. Not to mention, I actually learned things! I won't go into topics, but there were some portions, where I thought, "did this really happen?" Look it up, and sure enough, it did! His humor isn't for everyone. If you enjoy dry, witty humor than this is for you!It came with two 3D glasses, which was unnecessary. The envelope they were stored in was kind of thick, and made holding the book a little awkward because it kept wanting to close. I didn't want to ruin the book by cutting the envelope out, so I left it. WARNING: Do not get this book on a Kindle. I read how others were disappointed with it. I have a Kindle, and cannot imagine how this book could be adapted properly for it. Get the hard cover, there's so many little things to enjoy in it, like the footnotes!

it had cool 3d glasses with it
i never did get the first book or the stripper pole book. i did get this book though. it had cool 3d glasses with it. i would buy the older books if i found um cheap. when they told me steven Colbert was leaving it was like when howdy doody ended. i wanted to say that it makes me sound smart to old people who know what howdy doody was. in a lot of ways steven Colbert was that entertainment that howdy doody brought to America. coming into the living room once a night except all those times it ran reruns. and never on Friday. Steven Colbert was America. and i look forward to watching something else he does. the only difference between steven and howdy doody was howdy doody was a puppet and steven was a human. his show was the bomb so sad it ended and took daily show with it. i don't really that black guy news show. once the blacks got news im nervous.

Not as good as the first book
I bought this book because I like Stephen Colbert's show and his first book "I am America and So Can You!" was funny. This is still a funny book and entertaining to read, but I can see that the writers behind this book are exposing their extremely views more and more. Sometimes it feels like that they are so desperate to slash the conservative side that it's not even that funny anymore. I miss the first one where you still can sense the writers are liberal, but it's not so obvious so the character Stephen Colbert still comes off as a red hot Republican, albeit in a funny way. Here the writers are furiously making fun of Conservatives and trying to make them sound as dumb as possible. Besides the fact that the writing is not that funny anymore, it also angers me, since I'm a moderate and don't like the way some liberals go all dog-like at anyone who don't believe in everything they say. I've seen enough of that on TV. I wonder if they changed writers on the this book, or the fact that not everyone is in love with Obama got on their nerves.

Political and Social Satire at its best.
The world cannot get enough of Stephen Colbert, or so it seems. This adorable, hilarious,charm-filled addition in the ongoing legacy of Stephen Colbert is wonderfully funny, witty, entertaining, out-of-this world imaginative. The photos are just wacky cute with 3-D pages plus the graphics are to die for. I just love the little stories for (American)worldly advice like how to get a job or learning of our complicated Justice system. There is a laugh on every page, sometimes thousands. It is no wonder that Mr. Colbert is the darling of our Generation. He will undoubtably inspire many generations of satirists in the future. I hope that he will continue to write for many years to come that I may read all the smart, funny things he has to write about. I am a big fan of his and his show, The Colbert Report. I thank the world that gave us this unusually talented, gifted soul. Please thank him and his staff for this fantastic, wonderful, witty addition to American Humour, With much love.

Non-stop Laughing!
I truly love Stephen Colbert for his sharp, quick wit and keen sense of humor that never stoops to taking low blows, but I had no idea he could write as hilariously as he speaks! I am so excited as I look forward to reading the entire book as soon as Christmas officially is here. This is the first book of his that I have read but I have not really read it all yet. (It's actually a Christmas present to myself so I only allowed myself to read a few pages here and there. :) It was very hard to put it down, but I did and then quickly ordered another copy for a friend. I would order more if only my budget permitted! I love how he was enlightening me as much as he entertained, just as he does on The Colbert Report. Even the footnotes (and there were many) added to my laughter! Brilliant work, Stephen!

A very funny, very quick read.
This book is a very impressive follow up to his absolutely hilarious first release, "I Am America! (And So Can You!). Colbert wittingly and mockingly attacks flaws in the system that we're all aware of, but choose to do nothing about. Keeping with his elitist character played on his show, Stephen suggests only the worst ideas for the population as a whole. If you enjoyed his first book,or if your children enjoyed "I Am A Pole! (And So Can You!) as I plan to force mine to do in the future, you'll love this book!

DON'T BUY IF YOU OWN A KINDLE
Hate to knock the rating down for a technical issue, but Amazon sells this as a KINDLE EDITION. However it is not compatible with almost all Kindles. I bought the brand new Paperwhite Kindle on day one. Purchased this book to find out that it was incompatible. I've been singing the praises of this device to everyone I know, and on day one it does not solve the two main problems it was designed to: avoid the hassle of waiting and paying for a book being shipped, and having to carry a book around to begin with. Really disappointed. Amazon dropped the ball on this.Again, hate to hurt the book rating for an Amazon issue, that's why I'm giving it a middle/neutral grade, but Amazon needs to work this issue out and not disappoint early adopters of their technology.

Fantastic from the West Midlands
As a British fan of the Colbert report, I had a slight bit of trepidation about purchasing this book. Would I not get it? Would I feel racist-ed against? Would neighbours and relatives disown me for showing affection to the United States? But all these fears were set aside as soon as I popped on my 3D glasses! This is a clever and hilarious read from front to back (although as much as I love the glasses they did cause some annoyance trying to read the thing, with the little envelope forcing the pages up, but the weight of the pages thankfully sorted that out by the half way mark (I'm failing to be funny I see that now)).Every chapter is fantastically well written and has the perfect amount off irony and wit.Top three chapters were 1) healthcare 2) energy 3) Wall StreetHighly recommended and disgustingly funnyUSA! USA!

An Stephen Colberts Gedankengänge kommt keiner ran :)
