I used to be a car audio installer and salesman so know my way around speakers. I got this to replace a Rockford Fosgate P2, 2 of which have blown on me over the past 4 years or so (one time was clearly my fault for overpowering, the other wasnt) I couldnt be happier with this subwoofer! It sounds louder, deeper and just as clean as my P2’s did at a savings of about $40! Win-win if you ask me!

Sub is built tough. Price is what sold me on it however the sub hits way harder then I expected. Love it!

Update:.... almost three years later and these subs are still pounding around the city , changed the box and threw them in a mustang paired with a Brutus hifonics amp and they sound way better than when they was in my Silverado with a blapunkt amp,Sound quality is great n deep bass that makes my brain rattle ..... I'm my opinion better than skar , sub wise anyways only thing I would do different is get the triple or quad stacks

This sub slams the only reason I'm not going to give 5 stars is one of the voicecoils was misaligned I assume from shipping but it made a horrible vibration noise around 70 hz I had to take it apart to fix it. There was also a gash in the surround I had to reinforce but all is fixed and sounds great. I built a custom ported enclosure tuned to 32hz at 2.8 cubic ft volume with 800 watts rms running to it. And apart from the flaws at first it's a beast of a subwoofer especially for the price. Not really a huge fan of the wire connections but they are at least solid. Just kind of a pain during tuning and building the enclosure. But great subwoofer for a starter system especially in a custom enclosure it needs breathing room.

These subs are so amazing. 2 of them in the back of my car on a pioneer 2400 watt mono amp at 2 ohm is crazy loud. I'm 16 and just needed some good cheap bass and these are the best your gonna find. They are in a ported box and faced up for louder sound.

I've been messing around with some low end junk. This opened my eyes to what real bass is supposed to sound like. After blowing out my Alpine, Kicker and Rockford Fosgate's. I upped my budget not by much and upgraded to these hybrid beasts. Do it. You can FEEL the difference immediately. My old subs used to clip out on me after an hour and a half of driving. These keep going and going and get better and better as you break them in. The girls say they feel their hair and their love spots tingle. Nice.

This speaker is well worth it. Haven't gotten to really test it yet but will update after break in period. Sounds very good at low volume. I plan on buying a second in the future
