I was introduced to this convenient sweet instant coffee when I was in Japan. Mainly because of flavour and then ease of use, it quickly became my favourite instant coffee. I just pour in hot water and stir, just the right combination of coffee, cream and sugar are already inside each packet. No messing around with jars of stale crystals, and little packets of sugar and cream spilling all over. It is a mellow, sweet coffee in taste, but it seems to be loaded with caffeine for a good morning or afternoon pick me up. It is the perfect companion when traveling, hiking or camping as it only takes minutes to whip up. And, it can even be mixed and enjoyed cold or iced! I add it to ice water or my water bottle and just shake it up. I find it very refreshing. When mixed with hot milk it makes a tasty frothy latte, with foamy top.It is made by the most trusted brand in Japanese coffee, UCC, who invented the canned coffee (both hot and cold) that are available seemingly in every nook and corner in Japan in vending machines. I think the individual vacuum sealed envelopes are a brilliant idea as the coffee stays fresh and hermetically sealed for a long time. Those jarred instant coffees seem to go stale by the time you get to the bottom, especially if you buy a larger more economical size. And of course, creamer and sugar are separate.I buy these boxes of UCC coffee at Asian markets in the US for about $2.68 each when they are on sale, but normally they cost about $3.18. For the convenience of a nice cup of Joe whenever I feel like it, I think it is a good investment.

I love coffee but my stomach doesn't agree with me so I had been searching for the right type of coffee that won't cause discomfort (heartburn, acid reflux) and also taste good. I tried many that claim to be low-acid or for sensitive stomach but i still felt the discomfort after drinking them. But not this one! I'm so glad that i found this. I actually bought this at a local Asian supermarket for under $6. The taste is nice and smooth...although i can imagine it being not strong enough for people who like their coffee strong.
