Incredible Utility Knife. So Beautiful!
Yoshihiro makes wonderful artisan blades and this work of art is no exception. The aogami super blue steel is razor sharp and the 6 inch size is perfect for tackling jobs that are too small for a chef's knife but too large for a paring knife. This high-carbon knife steel will corrode quickly so make sure you towel dry, then let sit for 10 min to completely air dry, then wipe down with oil. With a little maintenance this gorgeous knife will last you forever. Also a great price for this kind of steel, highly recommended!

Beautiful finish
The blue tint of the knife is beautiful and it looks so rustic. Incredibly sharp out of the box, haven't sharpened it yet and have been using it nightly to thinly slice pork loin and it is still as sharp as when I got it. Highly recommend

Very sharp
I have had this knife for about a month and have used it a fair bit. It is very sharp, and is my primary utility knife now. I am getting into the discipline of hand washing and drying if after each use. I am pretty happy with the knife.

It's unlike any European or American made knife.
This was my first Japanese knife. I have been cooking a very long time but I've never used anything like this. The knife is well balanced, slightly towards the handle, which is in itself extremely comfortable to use. The carbon steel blade is double sided and wicked sharp. It's beautiful ... for those who find such things as knives artistic ... and a joy to use.

Not disappointed!
Truly, a work of art. Impressively sharp right out of the box. For those who desire a finer edge, work this blade on a wet stone and you are good to go! With this beautifully forged steel, the sky is the limit. Thank you, Yoshihiro, for your excellent craftsmanship.
