Hopefully this review will be helpful to some of you out there. I own an IT business, in business for over 22 years, and it is safe to say that I have replaced a few screens over the years, so I know a few things about screens and components. First and foremost, the screen was exactly what I needed to replace the screen on one of my personal laptops and I do NOT skimp on quality for myself or my customers. The Screenarama screen came on time, packaged well and included a useful tool kit that would help the average person be able to replace their screen on their laptop. In the case of the Lenovo Y50-70, the tool I used as a pry device was an old credit card and the bezel came off quickly and easily. In the toolkit there was a pry tool included that would have done the same thing, but being in this business we have a ton of tools and ironic that one of the tools I use most frequently in these situations is an old credit card, lol!One of THE most important things to remember when replacing your screen is to make sure you have the proper connection, either a 30 pin or 40 pin connector, this IS important. So be sure to get the right connection BEFORE you order your screen. The connection on my laptop was a 30 pin connection and I made sure that the screw brackets were right as well. How easy was it to replace the screen on this computer? Using the credit card, it took less than 1 minute to remove the bezel, then using the included screw driver, I removed the four screws holding the screen to the lid, leaned the screen forward and used the included knife to lift the tape holding the connection in place so that it does not move around. A bit of advice here, be sure to use a new piece of tape to hold the connection in place because the old piece of tape is just not going to hold long once you have pulled it and you do not want to have to keep removing the screen because of a loose connection. Once the connection was done, tape applied, tilt the new screen back up, replace the four screws and pop the bezel back on. Total time involved? Less than 10 minutes, and I can tell you that I wish other replacements went this quickly and easily!In terms of quality, the Screenarama screen was better than the original, the clarity was spot on, colors vibrant and just looks great. I have seen far more expensive screens that didn't look half as good as this screen, so it is truly a great replacement. And the best part? If you go to their website that they have on the included sheet, you can get a LIFETIME warranty on your screen. That is an incredible offer by the company and one that I quickly took them up on! So, if you are looking to replace your screen, look no further than a Screenarama screen! I know we will be using them as our GO TO vendor for screens in the future!
