Disappointing
This book was disappointing. It came highly recommended by an author I really admire. There was some good advice in the middle chapters, but that was about it. I don’t feel that the book flows well. There was too much explanation about types of parents in the first couple of chapters. Then the end of the book is more about marriage and sex life then parenting. I would not recommend this book.

Good reminder
Full of very good reminders about parenting and even marriage. For that I would have given it five stars. The reason for the four stars is that, on a few occasions, the author could get a little wordy in telling background stories and anecdotes--not often but a few times--and I would find myself thinking, "Please get to the point already. " But later I learned to simply skip the long stories when they start to drag, and skim towards the meat of the chapter.

Good
Good read. I Don't agree with everything and at times he can babble on but overall it was helpfu info for a parent on this day and age raising your child to prepare for future.

Eye opening
I read this book because of a recommendation by another author and found this book so clear and insighful. As a mother of two kids definitely changed my point of view about success and encouraging them to excel. It helps you to understand some of your motivations behind your kids' performance and some of these aren't really fair for them. Even if you are not a Christian, it provides you with a good perspective on the subject.

review
every parent should read this book and apply the principles to their kid as and to themselves. Too bad Schools can't make it a mandatory read for parents

Good info and a good read.
The information is practical and the presentation is appealing. Especially new parents tend to over - stress over a natural process that should be a blessing to all. This deals with the pitfalls which come when we over-think and over react to life as it happens, trying to make it fit faulty preconceived notions.

MUST READ FOR PARENTS
I got this book not because I still have children at home but because I work with women who do. I read the entire book and found it very helpful. So much of it is true and needs to be discussed and then practiced by parents in our world today.

Loved it!
Tells the truth. Many homes have gotten away from putting mom and dad first. The marriage is the most special relationship in the home, then the children. When mom and dad are united and love each other, that is the best gift they can give their children.

Four Stars
So wish I'd read this before my kids were all grown up 🙈Every parent needs this book... A challenging , often funny but rather serious book about the human heart.

Parent must read!
His book is a key book to read if you have children - of any age. The insights and transparency from which Ted writes is both refreshing and insightful. I found myself in several of these pages and was grateful for the recommendations and insights provided in this book so I could be a better parent to my kids.Excellent book!Nicki Straza
