The Garden of Evening Mists is a fascinating book. It's lyrical and very enriching. Even then it doesn't get 5 stars because its environment is too rarefied, too aesthetic for the reader to find tge principal two characters real.

So beautifully wriitten about love, loss, memory, history and nature. Absolutely loved it and was so sad when I finished it

A beautifully crafted story that sways between past and present and closes slowly with a sea of emotions...settle down and read it nice and slow
