MTD Replacement Part Service Replacement Kit

Install was easy and an exact fit for my troy bilt Pony 42x. the front mounting holes needed tapped. easy to tap due to aluminum housing. Seems to work well only have an hour on machine since install. I would highly recommend this replacement unit.

Fit well and was easy to install. Working great so far.

I got a new replacement MTD transmission for my Craftsman T100 mower. The transmission works fine, but the shifter linkage on the transmission sticks when put in reverse and has to be manually pushed in to neutral to shift to forward. (read to the end for solution)I tried reaching out to MTD help and they sent me to a website that wants to charge me $5 and a $40 monthly fee to be a member and get technical support!After searching on You Tube and asking friends for almost two weeks, I went back to the old transmission I took out. And there I found a small plastic guide clip that goes behind the shift connection pin that guides it in an out. When I put it on the new one it worked. There was no clip with the new transmission when I received it!

It worked as stated.

The tractormower runs better and appears to have more power.

Works great! replacing transaxle 618-04903A on my 2018 Craftman T3000 lawn tractor Model 247.273300. The upper and lower case markings made me confident i was buying the correct replacement. Thanks Swiss for your review and photos
