Volume 40 is the second to the last volume of the Seven Deadly Sins. With it we bring an end to a conflict that has been with us since the start of the series, The Holy War. It's a truly epic clash between the Seven Deadly Sins and Meliodas father, with everyone getting a moment to shine.What journey this has been. I still can't believe it's almost over, looking back one thing that really stands out is it's characters. They're all very fleshed out, with flaws and strengths that make them fully realized characters. Something that few series ever get to pull off to such an extant. And really they are what drives the series, the plots might have weak moments or the occasional plot hole. But the characters are true to themselves all the way through and are among the more complex characters the shonen genre has ever seen. -MickManga

That has to be one of the best endings, I have ever read.I am sad that I spoiled the netfilx show for myself, but it was worth it for that ending!

OOH BOY WHAT A TWIST AT THE END. this is a must read, I love this series soooo much. I’m really sad the next volume will be the last :( please make more!!!
