Fundamentals of Corporate Finance

Bought the print copy of this book for my MBA class and found it very valuable. So I also bought the Kindle version to have this book with me as a reference. Very disappointed to find the Kindle conversion process led to poor formatting and numerous errors in most of the many formulas presented in this book. These errors are plentiful, easily detectable, and easily correctable by the publisher. These errors should have been found and corrected before publishing on Amazon Kindle. Unfortunately, the user will not know the correct formulas unless they also own the print version.Leaving this critical review in the hopes that the Kindle version will be revised to the high standard of quality found in the print edition. In the meantime I will attempt to get a refund as this Kindle version is worthless.

Whoever was tasked to convert the textbook into a Kindle Version deserves to be punished. The Kindle version does not have page counts, a sufficient outline, chapter breakdown, nor clarity of formulas. All formulas do not elucidate if the variable is supposed to be an exponent. It is truly ridiculous. The formulas lack proper sub or superscripts, division, and multiplication signs. Little work went into the conversion of this book to an electronic form. For instance, everything from the formula for Time Value of Money, to DCF, to Blume's Formulas lacks any suggestion that the variable should be exponential.The formula below is taken straight from the Kindle version:R( T) = T − 1N − 1 × Geometric average + N − TN − 1 × Arithmetic averageIn reality, the formula is:R(T)= ((T-1)/(N-1)) x Geometric Average + ((N-T)/(N-1)) x Arithmetic Average.I was I could be refunded.

Poor/no editing in the Kindle version, especially in some of the mathematical equations. If you’re renting this for a class, hopefully the hard copy is better.

This book was not aligned with the course work I need to complete my studies. Many of the answers in the book, does not align with the questions!! This is a travesty!

Equations in Kindle version are missing "/" and parenthesis which makes reading and understanding more difficult.

I used this book extensively to understand finacial problem solving. the examples were very clear and detailed using the finacial calculator and excel.

The book it self is excellent. Content is well explained. The financial calculator and Ms Excel sections help a lot. The content of the book is very well self contained. The Connect platform is a great addition. The practice questions are a great help to test the understanding of the content and identify gaps. HOWEVER, the FORMULAS ARE NOT PRESENTED CORRECTLY in the kindle version of the book / symbols are missing power numbers are not distinguishable... which in some cases render the book almos un usable, being a mainly quantitative book.
