Caverns Of Cynder Tile Game Shadows Of Brimstone Expansion Flying Frog Productions

The worst of production quality I’ve seen from Flying Frog.
I’m a Flying Frog fanboy. One of my earlier purchases in my foray into designer board games was A Touch of Evil - it’s still just about my favorite game of all time.It pains me to write this, but quality control was out having a smoke break when this crap was packed.Whatever clear coat finish they put on this cardboard was so badly-applied that it resulted in a powdery white film on the cardboard components. It was all just a mess. It’s all still usable - obviously - but these games and expansions aren’t cheap. They shouldn’t be like this. Flying Frog has been so wrapped-up in Kickstarter fulfillment for so long that it seems quality - the quality I received when I fell in love with ATOE back in the day - is not as important as it used to be, or perhaps they are trying to do way too much for a smaller game company.Whatever the reason, if any of the Frogs see this, please refocus your attention on quality.

Stop sending out damaged product
Bad on both the part of Flying Frog productions and the seller.Seller: I have a collection of around 100 board games. People like me are sick and tired of receiving our product looking like it was spiked at the ground. While some of this is suspect to Amazon delivery; I can almost guarantee they send them out like this before the carrier receives them. It happens so often that its not a coincidence. Also they are packed well enough that a spike to the ground probably wouldn't cause the damage that shows up to my doorstep. Failed quality control before hand and a shrug. They don't care. Only whether they get their money or not. I paid the standard retail price for this game. I should receive the standard game undamaged. If you want to sell us stuff like this you should offer a discount.Flying Frog:The good: 6 entire missions is pretty decent for an expansion. There are some interesting new terrain features, tokens, and artifacts that come with this set to loot. While there is disappointment with the lack of new tiles, the new ones that come in this set that aren't doubles are pretty cool as an edition to play a roguelike more "swingy" version of this game as opposed to playing a hardlined campaign. The bad: I LOVE Shadows of Brimstone. With this expansion I will have all Core and Expansion pack content up to this point (not including current Kickstarter pledges). With that said I definitely saved the worst for last and this pains me to even type as I am a huge fan. I am serious when I say this...there is ONE enemy that comes in this expansion making a total of three models. Other sets have had on average 4 new enemies and at least 18 models to build and paint. The tiles feature only one otherworld's with more of the already overdone mine tiles on the back. Out of the 12 room tiles included 4 are duplicates seen from other content and those same 4 are duplicates within the same set. Basically even the next worst set comes with substantially more content, and I would even rate that expansion a 8.5/10. Even buying the extra enemy packs would make this world lacking even more than a different expansion.

No quality issues tiles look great
Tiles in those pictures look water damaged. My guess would be retailer or shipping company to blame not flying frog

Good expansion but!!
Carves of Cinder is a good expansion. I only gave it 4 stars because the cardboard cutout's had areas with mildew & smelled like mold. Also It only comes with 3 lava men, but has 2 other enemy type's in the expansion. The models for them should be included.
