With their tri-density rubber soles, Parcours boots offer comfort, allowing you to walk further without getting tired. The damping cushions in the heels act as return springs, resituating part of the energy used in taking a step. The fitted ankles hold your feet firmly. The insole is made from absorbent foam over Softex lined rubber. The polyester interior of the boot dries quickly. These boots are handmade in France using primarily natural rubber by one of the Aigle's master rubber craftsmen.

Brilliant wellies, but go 1/2 a size up.
Just fantastic. As comfy as slippers, as flexible and grippy as trainers, as warm and robust as a good pair of walking boots, as waterproof as, well, wellies.I've worn these about fifteen hours a day for six consecutive days in the Somme-like conditions of Glastonbury and didn't have to think about them / my feet / soreness / blisters etc. at all. They served me brilliantly - I walked several miles a day through every different consistency of mud known to man and then felt fresh enough to dance till the early hours. The previous year my B&Q wellies nearly ruined my festival; my feet were in agony. As well as festivals, my trusty Aigles have done me proud through hundreds of miles of forest/coast/trail walking and I've been totally dry, warm and comfortable the whole time. There's really no need for walking boots in the winter when you've got these. They're expensive but I reckon they're worth it and they'll last years.Other reviews said the sizing was generous and to order a smaller size, which I did, but they were way too tight. I then ordered half a size more than normal and they fit perfectly with thick socks. The exchange was no trouble.Top Tip: Don't bother buying the Aigle Swipol spray to maintain them. It's literally just standard silicone spray in a different can for five times the price. You can buy silicon spray in any DIY or plumbing shop. It's currently available in Screwfix for about two quid. One other thing - I think people in Hunter wellies look like clueless city-dwellers with more money than sense, following the herd and paying through the nose for a brand name. Do yourself a favour and get Aigle instead - you're paying for the craftsmanship not the label. Aigle and Le Chameau are classy!EDIT [OCT 2021]. It's now 3 years since I wrote this review and I stand by every word of it. These wellies are still in fantastic condition and still as comfy as ever. It's actually been 4 years since I bought them and they've seen some pretty nasty conditions in that time and haven't always been well cared for, but they're showing no signs of giving up. Absolute quality!EDIT [NOV 2022]. Still going strong! Every year these bad boys are averaging out at better value in terms of pennies per mile. Best. Wellies. Ever.EDIT [NOV 2023]. Still good as new!If you found this review useful please click "Helpful" below. Thanks!

An impressive pair of wellies.
Before I ordered my Aigle wellies I spent ages looking at reviews of every make imaginable. I ordered my Aigle Parcours as they were highly recommended and seemed to fit the criteria I was looking for, namely....Hardwearing, comfortable boots for everyday use , a good fit to prevent my feet developing blisters, flexible rubber which allows feet and legs to flex and bend easily and ...they looked good too. I had tried Hunter wellies before but found them very stiff and flimsy ( they split after a few months) . I walk miles every day with my dog and need reliable footwear as the places we get too can be incredibly muddy and boggy at times. I am very impressed so far as my Aigles are SOOO comfy ! The insoles are very spongy and I practically bounce along at times. I bought my normal size and can get a thick pair of socks on underneath. I hope my wellies last a long time because they are the best ones I have ever had.

My Best Purchase from Amazon 5*!
Absolutely the best Wellington boots I have owned and I have owned a lot. They are warm, comfortable and very hard wearing. I have worn them most days for the last three years and covered thousands of miles in them. They have a better grip than my walking boots and with the anti fatigue cushioned sole your feet are fully supported and never get tired so I will happily wear them for a full day hike. They do come up larger than your regular size - in fact a friend borrowed them for a walk and she is a size 6 - mine are a 4. This doesn’t bother me because of the design of the boot they don’t slip or rub and you can fit thick or welly socks in them however if you like your boots to be a snug fit I would suggest getting a size down. After three years of constant use in mud, snow, ice and all weathers that the U.K. can throw at us they have never let me down but finally they have a small split down the back seam so I need to purchase a new pair.Best boots ever, highly recommended!

Slightly bulky - issue with the quality
I found these wellies to be a little to big, they are quite bulky around the ankle and leg for me but I have thin feet and calves. They fitted ok in the foot, length wise, but again I felt they are too wide. It may be that they are unisex and I usually buy the ladies which are more fitted. I am a size 6 UK and I initially ordered 6.5 which I had to return as way too big, I then ordered 5.5 size and they are the ones I have kept. In future though I will stick to ladies fit. Apart from that they seem very comfy and the sole is thick with good grips.2018 - I wanted to update this review as I am very disappointed in these wellies. I do a lot of walking in my wellies and these were comfortable and had a good grip. I had given up on my trusty Hunters because of the poor quality. Therefore, I bought these wellies, I didnt mind paying the price as I thought they would last a long time. WRONG! They split and the rubber deteriorated and perished around the left foot. I tried superglue to see if it would prolong them but this didnt work. The same problem appeared on the other boot but the sole remains practically unmarked which is what is so very annoying. I recommended these wellies to a friend and exactly the same thing happened to her in the same area of her wellies. Therefore, there is definitely a weakness. I certainly wouldnt recommend now.

Well-made, high quality and comfortable, fits well length-wise but a little big around the heel.
A thick pair of socks fixes the heel securely in place. I had to buy a 7.5 (41) but I’m usually a 7 (40.5) but Aigle don’t appear to make the boots in this size. The 6.5 (40) would not have fitted length-wise so I had to make a compromise somewhere. Fits well around the calf and can easily fit jeans inside the boot and my calves aren’t particularly slender, they are average size. Good tread and warm with the thick socks. Arrived on time from France to the U.K. given it was only a week after Brexit so no hold ups at the border, fortunately.
