The current version is much more slender and has a narrower base which makes it much more susceptible to falling over with light wind.Needed to perform 2 modifications.First was to fill the base with sand then plug the opening with a cork.Second was to open up the flag holes as they are not large enough to accommodate locally bought flags that are on wooden sticks, not plastic.

We have this sitting in the center of the dashboard of our motorhome, right up next to the windshield (when parked, of course). We get a lot of comments about it, either thanking us for our service or telling us that they served in the air force to. That of course leads to the questions what did you do and where did you serve, then come the war stories. Great way to meet people with an interest in the air force.

This is a cute little decor Item to add to your garden. However, It is light weight so the first wind storm will probably blow it away or at least blow it over. The “holes” that are drilled at the top for the flags are not deep enough to hold the flags. The tip of the flag doesn’t fit They are more like small divets rather than a hole so that makes the flags useless. Other than that it’s nice.

This is my second purchase of this item. It looks very nice on my father’s grave and I am proud to display it there.The only thing I’d mention is that it is very light-weight. I attached it to a brick to hold it steady. But this fact does NOT diminish the fact that I would buy it again, and again as necessary.

My dad is a US Navy veteran and he literally cried when this came in today! I was fortunate to be able to be there when it arrived. So happy with not only the product but the lightning fast shipping!
