Ballad of Suh Dong / Seo Dong Yo / Song of the prince / Shu Tong Folk Song Korean TV Drama DVD with English subtitle NTSC All region (1-55 Episodes)

I have been looking for this drama for so long. I love this drama!I bought the used product. There are some stains on the cover and some dirt on the DVDs. But so far everything is fine, at least it plays pretty fluently for the first few episode. I will update my review to see if all the discs are okay.

It was delivered on time. Not too early and not too late.When I first received it, I was upset thinking it was all a sham.But after quick response from the seller, I've decided to break the package and give it a try.All the episodes are on the 5 discs."All True."But can clearly tell it's definitely not the original.It is what you might call "second generation copy".Pic quality is definitely is not the best since it is not the original.But decided to keep it since it's sooooooooooo hard to come by and my sis loves this drama.Subtitle in English?!? NO!It's in chinese. And I can't read chinese...Good thing I speak korean or would have returned it.

However, especially in the middle but not so much in the first few and last 3 episodes it was slow and drawn out by the addition of farfetched unrealistic episodes or scenes and also full of long delays that add nothing to the drama.Without the undesirable farfetched and long delays this drama would be 20 to 25 episodes instead of 55 episodes and, without the silly and unnecessary garbage, I would have rated it 5 stars instead of 4 stars.

Very quick delivery. Excellent drama series. My wife and I both loved this as much as "Jang Geum". Very well produced and acted throughout. This series has provided a much needed relief from the rubbish we see on the local TV channels. Hope to see more in a similar vein.

Like many DVD products with Chinese and English subtitles, the English subtitles are sometimes inaccurate. Additionally, beginning with episode 28, the subtitles of some episodes are totally out sychrony with the Korean spoken dialog. If one speaks Korean and does not need English subtitles, this doesn't present a problem. An annoying and even greater problem is that some discs freeze and no amount of cleaning will correct the problem. Overall the discs are physically an inferior product.
