There is a difference between metal and plastic lids
The lid measures correctly but it dosen't work on my gallon jars. The problem is the jars take a metal lid that has the edge of the lid with small dimples that mate with the bottle threads. These lids have threads on the inside that don't even touch the bottle threads. Solution: using an old metal lid mark placed on top of the plastic lid mark the indent spots on the plastic lid. Remove the plastc seal in the lid. Use a heat gun to soften the marked area then us needle nose pliers to squeeze and bend the platic edge. Hold in place with pliers and cool with wet paper towel. Once all of the marked places are bent in the lids will tighten and seal the glass jar. Good platic lid.

REALLY HANDY TO HAVE.
These lids are great. I have others for different sized jars that work great. The only problem that I would like to see solved is maybe some more sealing material for a really good seal. Also I have a hard time getting a fit for a particular sized gallon jar from Walmart. Their lids are metal. I like to change them. All the other sizes have been found. But this order was for the gallon and they do not fit. I will keep them for the other jars I have. I have even thought of getting some for mason jars and use for storing supplies. Enjoy.

Leak
These leak a lot if you turn the jar on its side.

Easy to unscrew
When I bought the gallon jars for iced tea and coffee, they came with metal lids that were a bear to unscrew. I bought these plastic lids and the problem disappeared.

One lid broken
One of the lids arrived with a piece of the lid broken off. I tried to report the damage on Amazon, first via the delivery confirmation which told me a need more assistance and to contact customer service. So I go to the customer service page, enter my information. Lo and behold the answer I got back was to request a refund or replacement and sent me back to the original page I was on. Put in the information and was told to contact customer service - again. The lids were only a few dollars so I'm not going to spend any more time on it. The other lid was fine and serves its purpose.

Great lids that fit
These lids fit and are sturdy. Will work just fine!

Don't fit jars
These lids are too big and made from flimsier plastic than the originals that would have come with the jar.
