EXCELLENT kickboxing workout! Guillermo is my new favorite
I absolutely LOVE Guillermo Gomez, I now own 4 of his videos and I love each one. I have done Tae Bo and Les Mills Combat and these videos are right up there with them, his cueing and technique tips are great and the workouts are top notch, with built-in intervals, you really burn calories. My only beef is with the videos where he has 2 women working out with him, and calls them "girls" - I try not to let it get to me, but it kinda grates on my nerves. If you like kickboxing for your workouts, you have to try Guillermo Gomez. Start with Kickboxing Cardio Blast, it's just Guillermo by himself, an excellent introduction to him and his technique.

Kickboxing Cardio Power
Giving 4 stars for now because I haven't been using this very long.I just found out about Guillermo Gomez via an email newsletter where he wrote an article for MyFitnessPal - I liked the tone of the article and was interested to learn more about him and his style. I'm always interested in kickboxing... Back in the late 90's, I was taking a kickboxing aerobic class at a small local gym and it was before the whole Tae Bo video explosion. I really loved my instructor and the simplicity of the class. Some of the moves or combinations were not simple, but it was not really complicated with lots of up/down position changes, like I see nowadays. In a short time, I had lost 30 pounds taking that class and I enjoyed doing it. Anyways, that instructor left and although I've tried several kickboxing workouts since, I never liked them as much. It seems like the Billy Blanks / Tae Bo craze changed the way everyone taught their kickboxing class.Until I came across this video! This video is the style I like - basic moves done at an accelerated pace - not bouncing around to crazy dance music with girls in the background yelling "Woooo!" every 10 seconds. (The Cardio Burn and Cardio Dance videos from this series look to be the style that I don't like, but to each their own!)Anyways, this has turned into a long rant, but I'm very happy to have found this video and am excited to use it over the next few months while I work towards my weight loss goals. :)

Pretty good workout!
Always looking for decent workout videos to do in hotel room while traveling. Have done Beachbody videos- Insanity, Asylum, Pump, Combat at home so typically disappointed with Kindle selection - most way too basic/dated. Pleasantly surprised with Guillermo's video! Challenging enough to break a sweat, easy to follow, nice flow with sequencing. A little on the beginner level - but would definitely recommend and would try other videos.

Too Repetitive for Me
It's easy to learn, yes. You do sweat some, yes. However, the moves keep building on old ones, so you repeat all the moves from (a), then (a)+(b), then (a)+(b)+(c) and so on for the WHOLE TIME, which I found absolutely boring. I much prefer Jessica Smith's Knockout Body or Cathe Friedrich's Xtrain: Hard Strikes, which are varied and fun. So if you don't like repeating the same move over and over again, my advice is to skip this. I'm donating this to the local library.

I like it
IT is a good workout DVD. For me it was fund and you get a good workout. However, I am an advanced level and needed something a bit more difficult. I will work out with this DVD, but it won't be as the others in my collection.

Great!
I bought Cardio Power, as well as Cardio Burn and Cardio Dance. The CP and CB are great; CD is not. This one is good for evenings when a shorter workout is wanted - 40 minutes for this one vs. 62 min for CB.

Much better than I expected
From the cover I believed that it was going to be incredibly cheesy and possibly not very good. I'm pleased to say that I was reasonably surprised and there is a good chance that I will do this DVD again. There are 3 parts to the DVD, a 4 minute basics section, the 56 minute workout, and then 10 minutes of a few extra martial arts drills. I didn't bother with the extras and just jumped straight into the workout. The 56 minutes is absolutely non stop. There are no water breaks and its pretty fast paced. With the absence of a timer you don't know how far you are into it, and it absolutely flew by.Essentially the workout is one long progression that gradually has extra bits added to it. It never gets too complicated and its fairly well explained. Apart from the instructor there are only two others on the DVD, and they both keep up very well, without any sign of flagging. The set is also quite basic and the whole setup makes it very easy to concentrate on what you are doing. As with all workouts of this type, I wore my 1.5kg weighted gloves and by the end of it I was absolutely dripping.

Great product
I am relatively unfit, and currently recovering from a broken ankle so I thought this would be a great workout as low impact on my ankle. I was right ! That said, this was fast paced and high intensity so it is not a 'easy way out'. There is no beginners setting so you go all in from the get go. I have had to adapt a few of the exercises but once I'm back to full strength, I'm looking forward to keeping pace with the instructor. My only dislike is the girls in the background. I'm unsure what their purpose is, as there are no adaptations to the routines so they are only there for show and can be a bit distracting when trying to keep up with the quicker paced parts and the camera pans to them instead of Guillermo. I fully intend to check out more of his workouts.

Disappointing.
This was really disappointing. I had high hopes as I love kickboxing, but this was generally slow and I barely got out of breath. It soon went to the charity shop.
