Works great but very oily
Pretty much the title! This works so well on oil splatters especially. I had some oil stains on my cabinets that had been there for months. No other cleaner had made a dent, but with a little elbow grease, this took care of those oil splatters with ease. It also smells great — very citrusy — versus leaving everything smelling like chemicals. My only complaint is that it’s VERY oily, and a little goes a looong way. I made the mistake of using too much a couple times, but a bit of dish soap helps get rid of the oily feel. This is a little pricy, but again, a little goes a long way. I didn’t even put a dent in it after scrubbing the hell out of those cabinets, so it’s a pretty good value for the price.

Fantastic Product
I repurpose BBQ sauce bottles for homemade BBQ sauce. Labels hard to remove requiring much time . Goo gone took the adhesive off in seconds. Great product for what I just described.

Saved the Day.... AND the Carpet !!
First let me explain what we were trying to remove. We accidentally used "carpet seam tape" instead of regular carpet tape, to take a small 18 x 28 area rug underneath our feet on the loveseat (one on each side). When we went to pick up the area rugs the mess from the seam tape was unbelievable. Thick, 4 stripes of it, on the carpet underneath. And I mean THICK. The first day of attempted removal we used Goof Off Wipes. Using an entire box of them gone much of the residue off but we had to scrub scrub scrub, wipe scrub etc. but still could not complete the job. Someone recommended on Amazon to use Undo. Got that. Didn't do much of anything. So decided to try Goo Gone. Did not have much hope. Started spraying and using a terry cloth towel on the side we had been working on. OH my gosh !! Started removing the rest of the residue...pretty darned easily. Had to still work but not nearly as much as the other stuff we had been using. So turned my attention to the thick residue underneath the other side. Sprayed, started working with the terry towel and off it came. I washed the rug then and had to work a bit more to get all of the rest off but this was done in about 1/100th of the time I worked on it yesterday with other things. With the other things we used my finger tips got dried out and flaky (my fault for not wearing gloves though) but since seems to be oily it did not do this to my hands. I cannot tell you how happy I am. Last night, honestly, I was almost in tears looking at our destroyed carpet. We moved in a year ago, new rug, and now because of my stupidity of using the wrong carpet tape, the carpet was ruined. My husband was convinced we would just have to keep an area rug over the residue area because we could not afford to put in a new carpet. So I can honestly say Goo Gone save the day...and the carpet.

Great Product
I've used Goo Gone for years and love it. Sticker goo is one of my pet peeves so I love this product. I first used the original liquid but much prefer the gel. It stays on the surface better so it seems to make the results faster. I have tried this on almost every kind of surface and even tho it leaves an oily appearance on porous surfaces it gets the job done. I wouldn't be without it. I also use it to remove plant sap and chemical residue from my hands or skin.

Great item, bad smell!
Before switching to white vinegar/water or Ajax/water mixes I first bought this bottle in January 2021 (for $10) and it worked okay! I used it to loosen residue and pieces of rubber foam off my door frame after removing the rest of the strip and I was able to make the door frame less sticky again. I would not recommend smelling Goo Gone because it reminded me of sour oranges, but it still did the job! In general I would not recommend Goo Gone or similar products since more natural solutions typically do the trick, but sometimes emergencies and industrial-grade un-sticking jobs can be inevitable. Nonetheless for being a handy solution sold at a decent price, the “Goo Gone Adhesive Remover Original Spray Gel - Removes Chewing Gum, Grease, Tar, Stickers, Labels, Tape Residue, Oil, Blood, Lipstick, Mascara, Shoe Polish, Crayon - 12 Ounce” gets a respectable 4/5 stars!

No more sticky spots
First time I’ve used this product & so happy I ordered it. We were getting the walls prepped for paint & I used this for any sticky areas or wall hooks with tabs & I was able to remove them with no damage to the walls. Has many uses.

Works on some goo, but not on all goo
I bought this primarily to remove the sticky residue from labels on hard surfaces. There are apparently different types of adhesives used on labels, because on some jars that I tested it took the goo right off, and some it did not remove even after several applications and letting it sit for over an hour.It does work best if you follow the directions and spray it on, wait a while, wipe with dry cloth and then wash with soap and water. I tried skipping the wipe with dry cloth step and it made a gunky mess. If you don't wash with soap and water you have a kind of a film left on the surface.I thought I would try it on some pine sap in my car, as it claims to work on that too. I sprayed some on a fresh pine sap spot, and I spayed some on an older spot. I let it work for five minutes, then wiped with a cloth. The fresh spot came off with some elbow grease, but the older one did not. Tried it again and left on 20 minutes. It still did not work.Overall, I'm glad I got it. I salvaged a few jars that I would have tossed away otherwise. It has earned a place in my stock of cleaning supplies. But it is not the ultimate goo remover I had hoped for.
