Secrets of the ACE Personal Trainer Exam Study Guide: ACE Test Review for the American Council on Exercise Certified Personal Trainer Exam

My book was a little damaged in the mail, but for it being shipped to me that is something out of anyone's control. I cant believe how easy it is to follow along with the information in this book! The main reason I bought this book was because I have the ACE trainer book and its very hard to keep up with and really put the information together as you're reading it. But this book really breaks down the main points and gets straight to it! Some of the topics and sections I was struggling with the most are completely cleared up for me now thanks to this simple, clean, and super organized approach! Thank you so much for coming forward with this information and the format its finally sticking and making a lot more sense! I highly recommend this book to anyone who is struggling a bit in a few sections and are preparing to take the exam soon.

Learning so much about what to learn and how go learn for my PT test! I have taken it before and failed, and this book has been a saving grace in helping with my anxiety.

Passed the test using ACE Online class materials plus this book!

I took my ACE personal trainining test back in November, 2012. I was trying to avoid paying the high price of some of the ACE study bundles and this was one of the first study guides that I had purchased in order to avoid shelling out hundreds of dollars on ACE study bundles. The infrormation in this book is somewhat helpful, and informative but not nearly enough to pass the ACE EXAM as the publishers claim. One of the problem is that alot of questions on the ACE exam are illogical or seem to have numerous correct answers or questions where they all seem to be incorrect and you have to determine which questionis the most correct or the least incorrect. There is no way around it...in order to study and pass the ACE PT training exam you need to have the ACE Training Manual, Essential's of Exercise Science for Fitness Professionals, and the Mastering the Manual workbook. I also purchased the ACE flashcards and two of their online practce exams. It wasn't until I had taken the first free practice exam that I realized how illogically their test questions were designed. I would've saved alot of money by just buying the most basic ACE study bundle from the beginning, but I've always tested well and had already purchased the ACSM study manual, an NASM training book, and about 1,000 practice questions from ACTION personal training...therefore, I thought I should have been adequately prepared. I can surmise that each of the major NCCA accredited training certifications are so sytemetically different that it is best to purchase whichever organization's study material it is for that respective test. I'd also suggest taking each organizations proprietary practice tests so that you get an ideal of the methodology and logic of the qustions which they design for their test. At roughly $400 just for the ACE exam ticket, and the cost of a retest almost as high if you don't pass, it just doesn't make sense to buy a cheap, condensed third party summary of their study material if you want to pass the test on the first time. Altough, I spent much more money than I had originally planned, I'm glad I trusted my instincts and purchased the online ACE materials. Fortunately, I put enough time in studying and taking practice exams to enable me to pass the test on the first attempt. In addition, despite the fact that I had found some flaws in their test design, ACE has a large quantity of additional programs and resources which I've found to be of tremendous value. In addition, the ACE certification is among the most highly regarded in the fitness industry and was well worth the time and effort.

Seems good, as an extra study guide

I found that the book was easier to follow than the study guide book that came with the package. It was easy to understand and I will go back to it for refreshers.
