Hop-Sport Lat Pulldown Tower Attachment HS-1003LT for Weight Bench

For the price I think this is a decent bit if kit. Seems sturdy enough, and was easy to assemble. I bought it for my York bench. The attachment comes with a pull down bar which seems OK. I have also purchased a rope attachment to train triceps. You can turn the whole thing around so you can do overhead pulls, but you may need to weigh down the other end of the bench. On the questions section on the listing someone stated that the dimensions are 36mm x 36mm. This is incorrect its actually 34mm x 34mm. This is quite small, so I went on ebay and ordered some 40mm x 40mm square steel tube that has an internal diameter of 36mm x 36mm, this has stopped it moving around so much in the bench.

This is a really good bit of kit for the price. BUT, it has a flaw. The casing for the pulley wheel comes in 2 pieces but before you assemble it you need to saw off the 'guide flaps' as they do not fully enclose the pulley cable meaning it pops out and ends up going over the edge - quickly abrading off the plastic coating from the cable. Saw the flap on your 'working side' off before you start and you're good to go. It works VERY well, is smooth and quiet and has handled 60kilo's without issue. I would also recommend giving the tower a good coating of WD40 BEFORE putting the 'carrier' in place or it may get a bit squeaky. Other than that it's a great bit of kit. The one star is removed because of the pulley casing flap issue that IS resolvable easily enough but as it's a design flaw has to be noted..

I absolutely suck at pull ups. Tried resistance bands, negatives - the lot but could never make any real improvements. I am only using a basic home gym bench (Pro Power) and the one thing that I have been missing was a way to improve my strength to smash out decent, strict and good form pull ups. The price of gym equipment at the minute is insane and when I saw this universal lat pull down attachment at such a good price I thought that I would give it a try.Assembly is a doddle (takes 5 minutes max), and is a perfect fit for my bench. Have tried it out already and it is perfect - just what I need to get stronger for regular pull ups. Such great value for money.Highly recommended. Very fast shipping from Germany too.

Shipping to the UK was 13 gbp at the time.Overall it cost me about 65 euro but by far the best value out there

I can honestly say that I can’t find any faults with the product or the company! , it arrived ahead of the scheduled time. And went together well for the money this is a great add on to my bench ! I’m very happy all round

Apart from slide mechanism being upside down on delivery, it will do the job until gyms open up again. Comes with wide grip bar, can be reversed for tricep pushdowns, might even be able to do face pulls with it. Better than not lifting though!
