Love love love these! I got these for my 3 year old son for Christmas to stay in contact with his grandma who happens to live next to us. Grandma and my son are very very happy with these. They are easy to use and the sound quality is GREAT! We use them even at the store now if we get separated or just to say good morning and goodnight or to taunt grandma. Super fun and Functional “toy”. I like these specifically because they are fun colors for children but are not “toy” quality which allows them to be useful for communication purposes between myself and my next door mother who does not use her cell phone. Plus the NOSTALGIA!! I love using these so they’ve become more of a present for myself and my mother (grandma). The ONLY drawback is these are battery operated so the battery’s can drain pretty quickly since there is also not a standby mode and you have to actually turn the walkies off to save battery life, rendering them useless IF someone is trying to reach you while they are off... So we have designated times where we keep them on or turn them off. Otherwise though a wonderful and simple product that really brings back the true joy of playtime back when walkietalkies were the high tech of the time and we didn’t sit on social media to have fun!

I have a 2, 4, & 6 year old, so when we were shopping for fun looking, sturdy, and vibrant walkie talkies for our kids, we came across these. Not only were they on Amazon Prime for quick delivery, but the colors is what really sold us! No wonder over 5.5K reviews came in with a rating of 4.5 - 5 stars. Shoot I easily give them 5 stars!The boldness, easy to grip with the rubber finishing and waterproof IPX5 battery compartment, and we love that it has a sturdy clip attachment. Bonuses are the LED flashlight with variable settings and same goes for the ringing feature.It gives a sense of freedom and confidence when they play outdoors where it is easy to keep track of them when they play in the backyard- I communicate with one unit while the others share the 2 outside. They are very sturdy as my 2 year old chucked it quite a distance when he got mad at his brother for taking his toy, it still functions great. My 4 year old purposely ran it over with his bicycle to see what would happen-came out unscathed. Kids will test and try everything we give them and we know if it sustains their rough play-it is a great investment. It has great range, as we took it camping and the bathrooms from the tentsite was a 3-4 minute walk away and little to no phone reception for any cell carrier, but these came in handy when we went to shower or go to the pool and communicate with family who stayed relaxing at the tentsite.I am looking to purchase these as Christmas gifts or birthday presents. They are fun to use- ages 3- 12 ; but I use them-and I am a mom of 4 littles.Go and purchase them now before they sell out!

These walkie talkies were a big hit with my kids (ages 6-14). My kids went out to the street corner (about 6 houses away) while I talked to them from a back room on the 3rd floor of our condo. There was enough static at that range that we had to move closer to each other. For perspective, that's about 1.5 football fields away through buildings. I've not tried using them in an open field, but from the initial test, I believe they would work even better in a park. The kids seem to like the color combinations and the small size. They were actually smaller than I expected, but they are perfect for their little hands. They have a belt clip to attach them to a waistline and also have a small hole on the top of the belt clip in order to use a lanyard. The radios use 4 AAA batteries and can't say how long they last since we've only had them for 2 days. The instructions are clear and it's easy to figure out how to use them and control the settings. They do have a lock option that prevents little ones from accidentally changing the channel or performing a scan for channels. The radios have 22 channels with 99 subchannels. Although this is a great feature, you wont really need to use it unless there are other radios in your area using up the channels.There were a few down sides, but nothing that would make me return them. The VOX option does not work. Well, it does if you're willing to talk with your mouth an inch from the radio, which defeated the hands-free option. Also, you have to begin talking to activate the VOX feature and when the display lights up 5 seconds later to signify it's transmitting, you can then begin to say what you intended to transmit. The radios have a rubber plug that can be pulled out to connect a headset, except my set didn't have the audio input. It was just a hole and I can see down into the electronics of the radio. I'll be contacting the vendor about this. Based on reviews and questions, it seems the audio input (when present), supports the smaller 2.5mm jack for old phone headsets, not the 3.5mm standard headphones (earphones) connector. I would think the VOX option would work a little better if used in conjunction with a headset, but I can't test that theory at the moment nor do I want to purchase old phone headsets to do so.Another downside is that you can't turn down the volume of the radio itself, such as the tone beeping, the calling tone, or the squelch. You can turn some of them off, but can't control the volume. This can be really loud and even annoying if being used in close proximity to an adult conversation or inside the house. Although you can control the volume of the transmission or person talking, the range from high to low is trivial and it doesn't matter that you can control it. A specification states there's a battery save feature, not sure what that is because I left the radio on and untouched for over 30 minutes and it didn't shut off.I'll update my review after contacting the vendor, using them long range, and getting an idea of battery life.

They are great for kids, there's a lock button so they don't accidentally change the channel. There's a ring button, flash light, fun colors. I'm happy with the purchase

Worked very well and exactly what was described

Funciona muy bien, se escucha fuerte y claro. Vienen preconfigurados de fábrica, sólo requieren 4 baterías AAA cada uno y listo. Mis hijas de 9 y 10 años juegan con ellos, el rango en ciudad es de unos 500m. Cumplen para uso lúdico.

The received package was not properly wrap and the side of the box was cut already when received. In the box, only 2 of the walkie talkies was wrap and another 1 was not. This look like rejected or used item.It was mentioned this was the brand Obuby. However, the product received was not. This feel so cheated!
