This is as easy to replace as your cabin filter!
Perfect replacement for my 2009 Rabbit. Install took about 5 minutes, with most of that time removing the cabin filter cover to access the part. Note that I got a burning smell for a few minutes using the HVAC after install. I believe this was due to the resistor being coated in something from the factory that had to "burn" off as the resistor heated up initially. This unit has been working great for weeks now, and no burning smell after the initial first few minutes of use. Even if you're not a DIY type of person, this replacement is as easy as changing the cabin filter on this car, as it is right next to the filter, and requires no tools for replacement.

For some reason, my VW Rabbit blows through one of these, at least once a year. Good thing they're inexpensive and easy to install. This one is like all of the others. I'm sure I'll be back for more.

Perfect Fit
Solid construction, fit perfectly in my 2006 Rabbit, and worked just like it should. The dealer asks more than five times as much for the OEM resistor; I say save your money and buy this one.

Worked for a week and now needs to be replaced
Two minutes to install without tools. Works good as new. The reason these keep going out, dust from the interior air filter contacts the sensor (design flaw from VW)

First unit was faulty after 1 month. Replacement unit is perfectly fine after 3 months. Replacement was quick and painless through Amazon. Would recommend if you have VW with blower issues.

I've had this about a month and it's held up.
I've read that this part can be unreliable, but I'll keep using it and see how it goes. I ordered a cheaper part but was sent the wrong part - this was the only replacement I could get in time due to the fast shipping speed.
