This is a fun little controller but it does have some flaws
This is a fun little controller but it does have some flaws. First off lets look at what I like. I like the buttons and I like the design of it. It's easy to use and connecting it wasn't hard either. So far it's worked great with my N64 emulator. The buttons do not feel cheap the joysticks fit good. What I don't like. The controller is light. So light that I think it might actually be hollow inside. It might raise the price a bit but I'd love something with a bit more weight. My biggest gripe is with the telescoping arm. It doesn't have a locking mechanism so if the controller is tilted (say you are laying on the couch) the phone just falls down onto the controls. The little telescopic arm freely moves. It really needs a little lock switch to keep it in place. Overall, a good controller and I think I got my money's worth.

Not compatible for PUBG
Originally I bought this controller to play PUBG. I have waited 2 weeks for the controller to get here so I could finally relax while I play. First off it is complicated to connect your phone to the controller. It didn't specify for an on or off button. To turn it on and off, you need to hold the home button. Secondly, I downloaded the app for the controller and still had to pay an extra $5 for the mapping app. I have tried everything to make this controller work on PUBG and it is not working. I have downloaded the BEBONCOOL app for additional free games. Majority of the games suck. I tried a racing game and the control system was a bit laggy when pressing the buttons. I also downloaded dead trigger 2 and it's alright but it is not the game I purchased the controller for. Very disappointed. I just want my money back.

Unfortunately, it just didn't work
I received the controller and attempted to use it with a samsung phone and a tablet. In both cases, the controller would appear to pair with the device but it would never connect. Some lights would blink on the controller but then it would turn itself off.I reached out to Beboncool support via email. I received a response within 24 hours. The support appears to be offshore, so if you are in the US you will receive replies overnight. It takes some time to have a meaningful conversation with support as a result.Nonetheless, the support person did try to help me via email. I was directed to youtube videos with instructions, was asked to try a few things, etc. None of them worked, and the conclusion I reached is that the controller was simply defective.Support offered to send me a newer product for free, but I needed to contact them on Facebook to start that process. I don't use Facebook, and was tired of dealing with support after two weeks of emails, so at that point I gave up.I originally bought this controller because it said "Amazon Choice" next to it when I was searching for a similar product. It is obviously a poor choice.

Great Affordable Controller for Android Emulators
I purchased this for use with my N64 and gamecube emulators on my android phone. Bluetooth pairing with my galaxy S10+ was easy and quick, stable, held the controller home button about 3 or 4 secs for pairing mode, was a little hard to find in the instructions, but it is there and was semi-intuitive to myself as a rather tech savvy person. Controller is light and portable without being too cheap feeling or small for my larger hands, comfortable for playing. Buttons work well apart from a spongy D-Pad which I hardly use anyways (and on my tests for mapping I had no issues with D-pad buttons working, just isnt clicky). L2 and R2 being under is similar to the steam controller paddle locations so just takes some getting used to but I kinda like it now. FYI, I map N64 'Z' to 'L1' and N64 'L' to 'L2' for ease of use and GC 'Z' I map to 'R2', works well. The phone clamp seems rather secure (I have a thin case and leave it on), I put the phone in with the power button down to allow access to volume buttons when playing and dont have button placement issues on the galaxy S10+My only gripe is that the swing arm clamp has no lock in the open position, only a light resistive force (like a swiss army knife), and I wish it had a lock for the open position so I could play lying down without my phone falling over to my hands. But for this 20's range price point I'll live with it. I likely will add my own lock open solution eventually.P.S. Real controllers are way better than the Nintendo switch side clamp method for ergonomics, at least for my hands and preference. Keep up the good work Beboncool!About emulators: I dont understand why people would have any difficulty using this in an emulator as long as your phone/PC pairs to it as an input device correctly and connection is stable. Instructions state leave the controller switch in G when pairing and then no issues and I find it to be true. As with any emulator controller it only took a quick button map to my preference in the emulator software (both N64 & GC), this is dependent on the emulator you are using and its ability to map a custom input controller. I had no issues with the emulators I use, along with joystick sensitivity, etc. after some settings tweaks. Minor tweaks and mapping need is expected with emulators, know your emulator and dont blame the controller for not initially working plug and play. Emulators are hardly plug and play for good high end results anyways.

Decent controller, I like it.
I recently started downloading and playing quite a few mobile games on my S6 - San Andreas, MineCraft, Bully, Modern Combat, Hitman Sniper, DH5 - but I don't get on well with touch controls.I shopped around for a bluetooth controller for a few days before settling on the Beboncool black and red controller. Safe to say, it's suited my needs perfectly.I'll get the little negative points out of the way first:a) Yes, it's plastic. Very, very plastic. It feels almost fragile - but it isn't! Quality wise, it's not impeccable.b) The mount isn't all that rigid - if you were to use the device while leaning back in a chair or laying on your back for example, the mount flops down with your phone in.That's it!Buttons - they're good. A nice distance between them, good selection (12 buttons including 4 shoulders, although awkwardly placed) and they respond well to touch. The thumbsticks are more or less full size and feel nice to use and click down, no issues with them so far.Look - Overall, it's quite pleasing aesthetically. The colour and style is nice, it doesn't look silly with a bigger phone inserted and is well rounded. The LEDs aren't overly bright and offer a good insight into connectivity and battery life.Playability - It doesn't work with ALL games. Some games have to be formatted, such as setting your own buttons which isn't much of an issue. All of the games I play work perfectly with it, however.Size - I have big hands, and I get on perfectly well with it. It doesn't feel too small or cumbersome or awkward. I've played for a good two or three hours straight on it and come away as though I had been using a regular console controller.Connectivity and life - battery life is good - I've certainly never had it die on me yet! The bluetooth is pretty seamless. Turn it on, turn your bluetooth on - connected. Turn of your bluetooth, controller goes off too. Couldn't be easier.Overall, if you're looking for a fairly decent bluetooth remote but don't want to pay the silly prices like MOGA charge, pick up the Beboncool - you won't be disappointed.

... Headset and I must say this works flawlessly and perfect with no issues with all games and apps for ...
Bought this product as I wanted a gaming pad to use with my Samsung Galaxy Gear S7 Edge whilst using the Samsung Gear VR Headset and I must say this works flawlessly and perfect with no issues with all games and apps for the VR Headset. Also used built in phone holder to play games and this also works perfect with no issues and you can also control icons and apps on phone with the joystick and buttons. Would highly recommend if you've got or are looking at buying an Android VR heaset.

Amazing outstanding and cool
This is the truth. it's cheap and plastic. the joys are better than any cheap moga controller and it's more compatible with emulation and games. Syncing is excellent easy and fast for me anyway. For the price it's a great deal the only down side is if you play laying down or for some stupid reason upside down the bracket isnt very lockable and falls if you tilt it foward.

Nice and ergonomic
Nice and ergonomic! Lots of battery life.Great for emulated games, and things like GTA and Minecraft etc. on Android.I use mine with a OnePlus 3, fits well. One thing that needs to be improved is the hinge mechanism for the arm that holds your phone. Granted I do have a large phone, but if I want to use it lying down, its not strong enough to hold my phone up. If you just get an elastic band and wrap it back around itself, its fixed :)Very happy with mine, I highly recommend getting one if you play Minecraft alot.

Impressed
Having recently acquired the Samsung Virtual Reality Headset and having upgraded to the Samsung S7 Edge, impressed by that pairing I decided that to increase my involvement a bluetooth controller would allow me to play a number of the games with greater ease and involvement.Dreadhalls immediately recognised and paired with the controller with all the relevant buttons automatically allocated without the need for individual assignment. There maybe more substantial controllers out there but at the price this takes some beating.
