Direct and to the Point
The book is small (physically) but hits the key differences between C# and VB (.NET) ... and there are many differences. The book doesn't trying to establish one language as being any better or worse than the other. It just addresses the specific differences and gotchas in each language ... like in VB you can Import a namespace and class, whereas in C# you can only do Using namespace and not a class. And important difference is Optional Parameters, in VB you can omit the parameter in the call, in C# you can NOT ... very important information when one is converting source or working with VB and C# projects.

Good but out of date
This book really hit home the differences between C# and VB.NET. I am a C# programmer who is now working in VB.NET and even with the book being for VB.NET 1.1 I was able to get a better feel for the differences. I still find I have to look some things up but I have a better understanding of the underlying philosophy of VB.

Not what I expected
This is a small quick reference book. I maintain both VB and C# systems. I thought I would need a quick reference conversion guide, but I don't. Maybe it's the systems that I use are just very simple, but I didn't need any help.

Good book
Good book, but with the internet all the same information is readily available.

good book, but could use a new edition
This book was very good, but a bit dated. I'd like to see an updated version. Many things have changed, and are still changing. .net 4.0 would be a good place for a new edition of this book. That being said, it was a still a good read.

Junk
I picked up this book looking for a reference between VB.NET and C#. It turned out to be a piece of junk, not a good reference, not even a good tutorial. I ultimately threw it in the trash.

Does the job
The edition of the book I have misses out VB.NET SELECT CASE statments vs. C# equivalent and does not cover the relatively few algorithm design differences that crop up (e.g. dealing with event handlers). Provided you use VS.NET, start a VB.NET or C# project and stick to the chosen language throughout these algoritm differences are taken care of for the run of the mill ASP.NET tasks. The hard part of all this is learning your way round the .NET framework. There is really very little difference between the languages other than the cosmetics of for example: "i int;" vs. "Dim i As Integer". Programmers from a Java or C++ stable should get on with either language as they are so similar.Don't go buying a thick book on VB.NET vs. C#, this thin one does the job (aside from my minor complaints)

All fine but slow delivery
The book was delivered in perfect, if not immaculate, condition, better packaged than books coming from Amazon themselves. It's a useful guide to the language differences between VB.NET and C# and recommended for developers using both .NET languages. My only reservation was the delivery time. I was unaware that this seller is in the USA (maybe it was stated but if it was I missed it). I ordered the book because I needed it and was disappointed that it was delivered four weeks after I ordered it.

All in a nutshell
This book is absolutely brilliant. It is concise, to the point, accurate and is very efficient at uncovering the nuances and differences of the two programming languages (VB.NET and C#) that one might overlook in the normal course of events. If you think how to do something in one language, it will quickly point you in the direction needed for the other and help you to brush up on the former in the process.Well and truly deserves top marks.

Good but could use an update
Well worth its modest price and does what it does very well. However both languages have moved on since this was published and so unavoidably a few things are no longer accurate, or are incomplete; thus four stars rather than 5.
