Sturdy and deep
I have smart switches that are deeper than normal switches. This 2 gang box filled the bill and is nice and deep for my switches to fit perfectly!

The box to use when remodelling
An excellent product that is easy to install. You don't have to be very handy. This is not for new construction, only use if your drywall is installed. Trace an outline of the opening where you want to place it. Use a drywall saw and cut inside the lines. (You can make the opening bigger, but you can't make it smaller. Too big and you're in trouble) Punch out the openings for wires with a screwdriver and pull the wires through. You should clamp the wires so they can't be pulled out of the box. Put the box in the opening and tighten the screws until the box is tight against the drywall. I used this to change a two outlet plug to 4 outlets.

Just the thing for installing new switches, dimmers, timers or outlets.
Installing a pair of outlets, switches, dimmers or in my case timers for a fan and heater couldn't get much easier than with this box. It's thick enough to be strong and stiff, but still has plenty of room inside for wiring. Not that this is a trivial job, since 'old work' means finding a safe location to cut into the wall and also finding you way past studs, fire-breaks, wires and plumbing--but once you've found your location and gotten your wire routing, this is as simple as cutting a hole big enough for the box, pulling your wires through the back openings, pushing the box into the wall and tightening the two screws that clamp the ears against the back side of your drywall.

Well built! Deep!
Super high end gang boxes. I will only buy these from now on. They're deep and fit every smart switch we've thrown at them.

Great 2 gang box
I couldn't find a 2 gang box in local stores other than new build. This worked great and the fins are high quality and retract without issue.

Peefect
Used this to mount a surge protected outlet behind my TV so there would be no wires showing from my mounted bedroom tv. cut the whole in the wall tightened a couple of screws fed the wiring through and added the outlet. Great product. Can't complain plus cheaper than some local hardware places.

Not a lot to say about this
This is the standard cut in box that can be used in a home that is already finished and more outlets or switches need to be added works great.

Why can't the box stores sell these?
The knockouts on the back were easy to remove and I like these heavier outlet boxes over the flimsy plastic ones. Was this more expensive? It was, but I prefer these to the cheaper plastic versions.
