Must have accessory
The X-FLOAT auger was recommended to me by a friend who purchased these this past spring. I was previously using a SandShark anchor, which struggled to hold our 25' pontoon in place, even in lighter winds. Made my own with these, along with 1 1/2" schedule 40 PVC. Finally put these to the test a couple weeks ago, and these worked substantially better than the SandShark. 10-15 mph winds, and these augers held perfectly. Highly recommend!

Build your own shallow water anchors
These augers work great with 1.5" PVC to build shallow water beach anchors for boating. Be sure to line up the hole in the anchor to a predrilled hole in the PVC to add a stainless steel bolt to hold your boat in place on the sand or mud bottom. We use ours about every weekend in the summer time on Old Hickory Lake.

Great product
The product looks and seems to be well molded. It is nice to see a product that has the flash from being molded removed from it before sending to customer. Not sure if it's made in the USA or just a company owned by USA owners, but if it's made in China the company must have control over the quality control as it looks better than most stuff made in China. I installed it in a piece of 1-1/2" PVC to use as an anchor for our beach umbrella. The anchor fit the pvc pipe well and it screwed into the sand well and took all the torque I needed to put on it to screw it deep into the sand.

They work fine for intended purpose
They are light and sturdy, they will not rust. They easily screw down as deep as needed to provide a good hold. My DIY sand bar anchors hold the boat securely, easy to use, easy to store. Not terribly expensive. Nice tight fit in PVC pipe, I secured with nut and bolt. Way cheaper way to go than some of the expensive anchors that are sold.

Works well in sand and soft bottoms
Used on small pontoon boat for beach mooring. Fit in pvc pipe and seems well made.

Great augers, work perfectly
These are perfect for diy sand anchors. They work perfectly and make hanging out at the sand bar so much more fun.
