I got this for my boyfriend as a birthday gift and he loves it. He tried many different shave kits over the years and says that this one is by far the best when it comes to quality the razors were very sharp, the shampoo and conditioner left his beard smelling and feeling amazing, and the beard oil did not leave any residue. We've also noticed a change in growth as it has become more thick and grows in with less ingrown hairs. Highly recommend.

My husband loves the scent and the set . The razor is easy to use twist top , the blades that come with it are better then a G brand ( I know I know who would have thought? Not me I bought a years worth of G brand ) lol I do not care for the cheaply made and feel of the lather bowl ! That is important theirs no weight to it and lather circle bar barely fits in it.

This is a good basic starter kit for anyone curious to experience the really amazing joy of old school shaving. I would argue that a styptic pencil should be included. Otherwise it is everything you need. The razor itself is nothing special. Differing metals show surface rust fast. The mechanism rattles and seems dodgy. But the great pre and post shave products more than compensate for the razor quality. This kit made me appreciate and luxuriate in the shaving ritual. I will reorder the shaving cream, prelube and balm products to use with my new Rockwell 6S.

Absolutely worth it! Usually my neck is very agitated after shaving it. This leaves it smooth soft and clean.

I have recently switched from an electric shaver to a safety razor. The one in this kit seems to work good, but the best part of the kit is the pre shave oil, and the after shave cream. I really like the smell, and the way it feels on my face.

This is my first venture into using a safety razor. Like many of the other reviews, I too found the shaving bowl too small. Also the supplied razors work but, so feel like they grab the hair.I personally like the pre-shave oil, shaving cream, and after shave lotion. The sandalwood scent is subtle (the wife on the other hand, does not like it and it actually causes her to sneeze when I'm near).I haven't used the beard hair apron since my bathroom mirror is small and I can't attach it anywhere.The razor itself, feels nice in the hand. See my first paragraph for thoughts on the blades.For the price, it's a good starter.If your like me and new to this type of shaving, take your time!! Watch a bunch of videos to properly shave and reduce nicks.
