Amazingly Simple to Understand
It may be written for teenagers but it's teaching me a great deal. Written so simply but not in a patronising way. Great book for the coffee table, next to someone else's book, A History of Time and Space, or the bathroom, or next top the bed. I will most definitely be taking on holiday with me. Brilliant gift for any teenage relative.

Lovely Book
Lovely book for all of us both children and adults to read. It is on the coffee table in our living room for everyone to read.

ideal for younger readers under 13
It was well written and informative, but did not tell me anything I diant know. I had not reakised it was aimed at younger readers, or I would not have bought it! So it was dissappointing to me.

An exciting guide to 'life, the universe & everything'.
This is a fascinating, accessible and wide-ranging guide to the universe. After an illuminating introduction by Lucy Hawking the book is divided into 7 parts: 'In the Beginning'; 'What on Earth?'; 'Exploring the Universe'; 'Dark Matters'; 'Life in Space'; 'Time Travel...'; & '...To the Future!'The book concludes with an Afterword by Lucy Hawking and a short Glossary.'Unlocking The Universe', with a variety of essays from eminent scientists including Professor Stephen Hawking, is probably aimed at a younger audience, but at my advanced age I learnt a lot from this engrossing, informative book.Recommended to anyone with an interest in understanding 'life, the universe & everything'.
