Bought these batteries to run some portable speakers that though not cheap speakers they did not have the usual lithium battery in them.actually bought two sets as i was very impressed with the first set I bought.The great advantage of these batteries is that they have a slot on the top of the battery that takes a usb A adapter, there is a nice short 4x usb cable supplied with the batteries but any usb A cable can be used, therefore you can recharge them just using a phone powerpack as opposed to having to plug into the mains which you have to do with normal battery chargers.Charge time is pretty decent at a couple of hours and you get a decent playtime with them.obviously dependent on useage.All in all a decent rechargeable battery that will pay for themselves in time but the true beauty of these batteries is the flexible and innovative recharging system.

I bought these to power my MSF clock after I discovered that a pair of regular single use alkaline cells had leaked, despite still working. Long story short, these batteries work well but not with the clock, which relies on a 60 kHz radio signal for its accuracy. It seems that interference from the batteries' internal buck converter (used to convert the nominally 3.7 volts from the lithium cell to 1.5 volts expected from an AAA cell) completely blocks out the MSF signal. I'll use them in my TV remote control instead and look for a better single use cell for my clock.Because the USB connector plugs into the side of the cell it is possible in many cases to charge these while still in circuit. Don't do that! Remove them from the equipment first because the voltage on the terminals rises to 5 volts when charging.Edit: The clock works nicely on Amazon Basics NiMH rechargeable cells.

Do what they say

Really poor, just over a year old and the no longer hold charge. And have followed the usagecharging info from EBL. Expensive waste of money. Conversely the ebl AA I have are still going strong after several years

After comparing these to others in real life situations these are the ones I've come back to. They last for plenty of charges and appear to hold as much power as they claim.

I bought these AAA batteries a month ago to use in a head torch and also to use in a little hanging camping light. I figured it would be better to get 1.5v rather than the underpowered 1.2v nimh. Unfortunately they overheated super quick if used in a high drain device. This was first visible by the torch device light flickering until eventually after a couple of minutes it shut down completely leaving me in the dark. Heat is the worst thing for a battery and noted they did get warm. Contacted EBL direct and after a slow start they did then communicate well and sent a replacement set. Hopefully the new ones will work bit better.
