I have a different brand of storage for flat/curling irons but it is basically just a pouch with a flip-open top with heat-resistant material in it. You have to shove the whole thing, iron & cord down into the pouch. This Vera Bradley case is so much more functional. There are separate compartments for the iron, cord, and for other hair storage. It also zips open and closed rather than trying to shove a super hot thing into a small space.This case has the styling you would expect from Vera Bradley there is a quilted pattern on the outside (in this case, I purchased the black color so it doesn’t scream flowery and the Vera Bradley metal logo is also subtle - black and about the size of my pinky finger up to the main knuckle). Honestly, I don’t much care for Vera Bradley regularly (gasp!, I know, sorry to offend).. it’s usually too flashy for me. I prefer subtle, and the black version of this bag is that. There are two other patterns available currently if you like a little more pizazz.The case has a corresponding black with burgundy and pink flowered pattern on the inside). The material to this case is unlike other cotton Vera Bradley pieces I have - this is a dyed polyester. This makes it heat resistant, durable, and water resistant. This has an incredibly short zipper but has a black grosgrain ribbon as the pull.The iron fits into a tan-colored heat-protective slot, and then the cord hags down and tickets into a pouch on the outside. You can zip the case open and there is a mesh zipped close pouch that runs the whole 12” length (about 4” high), and on the other side is a 6” by 5” pouch that has elastic at the top to stick stuff down into (perhaps brushes/combs).This will work better for a flat iron than for most curling irons (only smaller diameter curling irons are going to fit). As long as your iron isn’t too big for this pouch, this is a great option.Overall, I love all of the compartments and versatility of this. It is great to protect your surfaces and/or drawer contents from a hot iron, and also is a great travel bag for your hot iron. While this costs more than the other flat iron bag I own, you’re paying for two things: 1) the versatility / compartments and 2) the Vera Bradley name and great construction (The stitching is very well done on this as you would expect from this brand). I’d recommend this for yourself and for gifts for Vera Bradley lovers (and non-lovers like me, too!).

Awesome! I didn't even realize something like this existed. I always hate having my straightener splayed out in my baggage when I travel. Especially when it's still hot and I need to pack it. This solves my problem in an elegant way. Now, it's neat and tidy and won't melt anything if it's still hot. It's slim and doesn't take up much space. My CHI fits perfectly inside this, there is a pocket inside to hold it and the cord. There's an added zippered compartment that can hold other small hair accessories. I have another straightener that's longer than this is but I can zip it up most of the way with just the end sticking out. The quality of this piece is top notch. I love it and absolutely recommend it. It is also a great gift idea for any gals you know, I bet they don't have one.

I ordered the Vera Bradley Performance Twill Heat Resistant Curling & Flat Iron Holder as a solution for travel, but since I'm not travelling much these days (yet also not doing my hair to go out much) it's serving as a great storage solution for my flat iron and a few other odds and ends.Normally when I travel, I pack almost everything, but then get ready to go in the morning before leaving, and do my hair last before getting dressed. This means my flat iron is almost always still hot when I'm ready to go, and is the last thing to pack. I've always sort of wrapped it up in towels, or else shoved it into an exterior pocket on my suitcase, and now I am so happy that I have this storage pouch and don't have to do that!I can unzip this flat iron pouch and put the entire thing (cord and all) neatly inside, or I can use the exterior pocket to store my flat iron and keep the inside of the pouch reserved for hair brushes, clips, elastics etc. This is the organizational tool I didn't know I needed, and I'm so happy now that I have it. It's working wonders to keep my stuff organized in my under-sink cabinet, and I can't wait to use this when I finally get to travel again. Everyone needs one of these.

Impressions on this Vera Bradley hot tools case is one I am new to discovering the brand this is probably my second piece from her brand but I have heard nothing but good things from this brand and so far it has not been a let down. I love the look to start off from this with the black on the outside and the floral on the inside and the material is soft but doesnt seem like it would be hard to clean and would hold up. The zipper comes off as it would work really well even in a hurry where you would have to worry about it catching on the material this is where I love a product that can do that. Also I love that as simple as this case is suppose to be it provides lots of addition space for other things you might need which provides functionality and again I love as person who likes things to have more than one purpose. Everything about this case comes off as well made and great quality from the stitching, to the look of it and the feel. Overall I am def thinking I love this brand just as much as I would love another high brand like Baggallini which I absoultely love just about any and everything from that brand as well. Pricing obviously is up there but I think if a piece is going to last and its well made then thats where your money is going into more of an investment.

This case is well-made, and it's perfect for when you are just about to hit the road, only just finished your hair, and need to still bring your heating tools along for the ride. Eeks! No more risk of burning either yourself or your car (or luggage).The construction is pretty good, and it does its job well. I'm satisfied with it completely. I just wish I'd known these exist years ago!

We have a loved one who's melted our sink on occasion because she wasn't cautious enough with her hot irons. My husband was THRILLED when he saw this case, once he realized what it was he immediately knew why I'd picked it up. It isn't quite long enough for the curling iron but it did take care of the issue with the flat iron. Guess now I'll be searching for a shorter curling iron, too!
