I purchased this product over the various other UV flashlight and glasses kits for a couple reasons. It had one of the best prices, and it offered a 100% refund if I returned it. I have two dogs, both of whom stay inside the house while we work.I received this kit in a box which contained a box for the blacklight with batteries, and the glasses in a plastic bag.. An instruction manual and guide was included with the shipment, as well as a more in-depth guide emailed to me.First, this is easier to use at night as my house is quite bright. The guide pointed this out, but I started using this before i read the guide, so shame on me.First use experience: I tried the UV blacklight the first night, it was actually quite fun! Fun in the sense that we were amazed at how many spots there were in the house. Do follow the suggestion of vaccuming or sweeping before. It’ll get rid of a lot of the other particles than can glow in the blacklight. It took me about 30 minutes to get through my house and marking all the spots i found. Then about another 30 minutes to clean it all up. I recommend buying a pet stain remover before you start using this, so you’ll be ready to clean up right away. (you won’t want to wait, trust me). Though the guide also gives you instructions for a homemade cleaner.I now use this regularly every week to check on the stains i cleaned. It’s important to do so, to make sure your pet is not peeing in the same spots as before.Bottom line: Easy to follow instructions, safety glasses included, make this a great value.

I received the light, and it didn't work. I emailed the company and they sent out a replacement immediately free of charge.Now for the fun ...My cat had PU surgery years ago and did very well. In the past few month I've noticed him dribbling on his way out of the litter box. I'm very familiar with feline uti and crystals etc, and he is healthy and fine (although we will be going to the vet to address the dribbling now). Well, this nightmare of a light showed me just how much dribbling has been going on :(My house doesn't stink , just a very faint smell when it's humid... but I'm shocked at the stains on the carpet.Beware - this light showed every stain (vomit) that I've ever cleaned up and I almost had a heart attack !

Putting on the glasses and turning off other lights increases the contrast- I'm not sure if any of these work as well as the long fluorescent black lights I had quite a while ago but it works. What more is there to say for the people who can use it?It turns out that my partner can't see the contrast he needs to see the urine. He thought he saw something but figured out I was pointing to a spot that was invisible to him. We checked out other spots and those were invisible to him as well. So, for people who were angry that this light didn't work- the light probably works but you have an anomaly with your vision that makes it difficult to perceive what you need in order to see the glowing cat urine. It would be interesting to see what happened with other types of urine detection lights for you.

I have a cat that nearly died of a bladder infection and ever since has been urinating on everything when he comes inside. I usually get most of it but some of the places he pees on takes forever for me to find and by then its reeking. This light is AMAZING... granted I was taken aback by how much of the house he had actually peed on but this thing lights up where he pees so easily and helps me find it early so it makes cleaning up so much easier. No more cat pee stink in my house. =]

I purchased this because I got new carpet and was horrified to learn my car was urinating on it. Problem is you couldn't see the urine. I asked it and would see the cat sniffing certain areas. In a panic I found this and located several urine spots. Not fun to see the damage but most importantly I was able to see it and clean it. The reason i couldn't see the urine by the way is it was sprayed very lightly by the cat, not in bug yellow puddles. Fyi the kit istructions say it only shows dried urine so keep that in mind.

It works!! As the directions state, it is best to use at night or in a dark room. It picks up the stains on the carpet very well. The glasses work well and help with detecting the stains. I was surprised how many dog "accidents" that I missed. UGH! If you are curious about stains, buy this item!

Arrived quickly! Using the kit has been an eye opener! We knew our male pup was peeing and marking areas in our house, but we didn't know the extent! Wow. At least now I know where to clean. The light worked great in showing recent and old urine stains. I highly recommend, it's worth it and it's a great value.

I can't always count on my nose for smelling little peepee accidents..so this LED UV Blacklight does the trick...I have no more worries about my dogs having accidents and me not getting it cleaned up right away... when I return from a long day. Piece Of Mind!
