Humidifier Filter Replacement Wicking Filters Compatible with Honeywell HC-888, HC-888N, Filter C (4 Pack)

These filters are a perfect fit for my Honeywell HEV-320B humidifier. They work well and help provide much need moisture during our cold and dry Wisconsin winters. I use the humidifier in a 12' x 12' room and it runs continuously all winter. I do refill the humidifier daily and clean it weekly. These filters last about three to four weeks or so before they really start to smell and get hard and brittle. So, I go through out six or seven a season. They work great, but wish they would last longer. They do last longer than the unwrapped ones which seem to last about two to three weeks.

They are easy to install and seem to be holding up quite well.

Lasts a long time

I have been buying these filters for about two years. I have four humidifiers, and they are my filters of choice for their longevity and effectiveness. I noticed they last longer than the original coming with the humidifier. Good value for the money.

No complaints with these filters.

Seems like these days, companies trim cost by downsizing products. In this case, this "C" filter is narrower and shorter than the size it claims to be. therefore, it doesnt really work very well in the humidifier, which should have the filter go all the way to the bottom of the fan unit in order to ensure only moisture-filled air is circulated out. Because the filter isn't tall enough, it is pulling in the dry air directly to the fan and out the top of the unit.

These are a good value for the money. Despite having a water softener, they do harden up in the middle within a few weeks and get a rusty color on the ends. That might be a little iron getting in, though. The price makes them worth it so I'm a return buyer.

These are an economical replacement for the brand name product, however, they don't seem to be as effective. Perhaps it's the blue mesh which may reduce airflow through the filter, and slow evaporation.When the original, factory filter was new, with the fan on high, I would go through a tank full of water every night. As that filter became clogged with minerals from the water, the water usage went down to a tankful every three nights. With one of these filters, I'm at the same performance as an old, plugged factory filter. It does raise the humidity from 30-40% to over 50%, which is adequate for my needs, but just barely.The value is still there for me, as I was looking at factory filters at 2 for $20, so I would be reluctant to change them very often. At 6 for $20, I can keep a fresh filter in there, even if the performance is not ideal.
