Lovely wooden toy, will last well but pity no storage box
Great to have the wooden tray to hold the pieces whilst playing. One problem we have though is shame there is no lid to the box base, would have been much easier to store with a lid rather than having to root the pieces from the bottom of the toybox each time 😕 definitely advise you purchase some sort of extra storage for the sandwich pieces.Plus not entirely sure what a couple of orangey coloured pieces are - one round one square - one maybe ham? We're not sure! The rest are more obvious!We will however get a lot of use out of this. Granddaughter played with it for ages when she stayed, cutting and serving to grandad and me. She especially loved using the wooden 'cutting' knife!

Good quality wooden toy
Bought this for my nephew's 3rd birthday as he's started playing shop and pretending to cook/prepare food.I've bought quite a few Melissa+Doug toys for him now and find them to be spot on. There's 16 pieces to this sandwich making set which comprise of. . .1 knife1 x burger bun (top+ bottom)4x slices of bread1x beef burger1x ham1x egg2x cheese2x lettuce2x tomato1x green pepperThese all come in a sturdy wooden box but as others have said, there's no lid!?As the parts of the sandwich are put together the whole thing is held together by a central velcro piece on each part. So your child can move it without it falling to bits.The items are easily identifiable being the correct colour and shape. Plenty of scope here for learning food groups, names, colours, counting, food preparation and healthy eating.This is a really nice set which will take a few knocks and last a long time. Just need to find a beer and kebab one now for my lad. He's big! :)

Didn’t arrive as advertised, it had been re-packaged
Really disappointed with the state in which this arrived. Bought as a gift for Christmas and it has clearly been unpacked and repackaged back up but doesn’t look great for a gift. Some of the pieces are chipped and there is staining on the box. Will be sending this back!

Brilliant for an impromptu lunch!!
Bought for a grandson - but I think I get more play value out of it! Lots of options, and mixes and matches with others in the range.
