Need More!
After reading about the author's own medical needs I knew I had to read this book. It is mostly a cookbook, but the first part talks about how to adjust a vegan diet for those of us that are vegan and gluten-free. There were a couple times the author alludes to meat, wheat, fish and dairy, but that is only for those that might need to adjust to the more carnivore diets.I didn't try any of the recipes, but looking them over they look absolutely delicious! I would have loved even more recipes. Also, have you looked into the benefits of coconut oil? Anyway, keeping this available when I feel ready to cook! :-)

Good source of information
I found the menus a little restrictive in terms of fresh food stuffs. But over-all a good source of information about how to control your blood sugar levels while being vegan.

Don't waste your money on this one
Don't waste your money on this one, there is only about 25 basic recipes with no nutritional information, the diabetes information is so basic that is is nearly useless, for those of us who have diabetes and want to follow a plant based diet a good book living a vegan lifestyle as a diabetic is need, this is not it.

Self-Published Garbage
This book is riddled with typos and looks like someone made it on a copy machine. Don’t waste your money.

What a disappointment. If you are brand-new to veganism then it ...
I was so excited to get this book because it is very difficult to find diabetes management resources for vegans (I imagine because most vegans don't have blood sugar issues, but mine started before going vegan so I am working on damage control at this point). What a disappointment. If you are brand-new to veganism then it might be a bit helpful, but otherwise it lacks in content, illustrations (there are none), and has numerous grammatical errors. The cover is nice but when you open it up it looks like someone typed it on their home typewriter. One positive of the book is that it may inspire me to write my own once I reverse what I've done to my body and get back on track.

dreadful in every way
I have been diagnosed as diabetic and am thinking of becoming vegan. I cannot describe how atrociously bad this book is. It does not mention methods of controlling diabetes with diet and tablets - it only shows an unpleasant picture of somebody injecting insulin into their stomach. It has typo errors. It recommends an assortment of fruits for breakfast - the amount of fruit eaten should be limited for diabetics. It lists fish amongst the fats that the body needs. The layout for recipes makes it really hard to follow them and the lists of ingredients are so long that a kitchen extension will be needed. It suggests using mozzarella and parmesan cheeses which, so far as I know, are not available in vegan form. It recommends sweet pickle - not the most sensible thing for a diabetic to eat. In fact, one recipe includes sugar as an ingredient. I could go on but I won't. My advice? Don't buy it!

Not much good for newly diagnosed sadly.
Interesting with a couple of nice looking recipes.
