Sharpe and able to cut through toughest of soils.

Was a bit worried about ordering after I saw a few people in the UK had said their item never arrived. Glad I took the plunge cos it arrived super quickly and is a great root cutting spade. Only had a practice with it so far, but seems really good. Quality, weighty, and sturdy feeling so you can really put some effort behind it to cut through those tougher roots. It’s not light, but I think that’s good cos the weight shows quality and will help hammer down on those roots. To gauge it; I’m a woman who can easily lift about 25–30kg above my head and I can more than easily use the spade.

I bought this to use for digging out the very dense roots of a "bamboo thicket" which had slowly got out of hand over a few decades. It proved to be very useful, together with a mattock, in breaking the root mass down into manageable chunks that could eventually be removed in a skip.

Really good at its job but you have to have such humongous muscles. Workout before use!!!

This is brilliant. Managed to work through bamboo roots and rhizomes. I've tried everything over the years, I can honestly say this really does slay those roots

Great for uprooting, dividing and transplanting.
