Best damn ice cream spoon known to mankind😎

I like how sturdy and heavy it is. However, when it is in dishwater, water gets in the handle somehow.

We've been buying cheap ice cream scoops at the supermarket for years that either broke in two or would have some weird peeling in the bowl of the scooper. This one is a great deal for the price. Heavy duty one peice spade that's great for scooping even the hardest ice cream.

Pros:This ice cream scoop is really durable and heavy.The scoop edge is angled like a dull blade (not sharp to the touch) but it cuts through hard frozen ice cream easily.Cons:If you load it handle up in silverware caddy, the handle fills with water. Seems ok when loaded handle down.I bought this because I am tired of cheap flimsy scoops bending and breaking when used and all the sturdy ones I have tried have issues with water getting in the handle. It's kind of nasty when you try to scoop ice cream and dish water is dripping into it. After first use I loaded it handle up and was disappointed to see the handle fill with water. On second use/wash, I loaded it handle down and afterwards there was no water in handle (YAY!). Not sure why they can't make a sturdy scoop with a SEALED handle but whatever, it came out dry 3x now loading handle down so I am giving it 4 stars overall.

HAVE BEEN SEARCHING A LONG LONG TIME FOR A GOOD ICE CREAM SCOOP! THIS IS IT! VERY SOLID AND HEAVY- AND ONE PIECE!

If you like shoveling massive amounts of ice cream into your gorge from a cereal bowl with your meaty cudgel hands, then these are not the spoons for you. You will be disappointed by the small size that doesn't look right in a cereal bowl and by the thinness of the handle's metal.If you like dipping at your European-portion dessert from a dainty cut-glass dessert cup, then these may be perfect for you. If your cup is expensive crystal instead of cut-glass, then you may be disappointed by the shallow ridge that runs along the outside of the underside of the handle, the purpose of which is to give a greater edge thickness to the metal for a better feel in the hand and possibly a bit of perpendicular structural support, while at the same time getting away with using less metal in its production. You won't generally find this trait in the better tableware companies, such as Pfaltzgraff or Lenox, and if you do, I suspect it will be better executed for the purpose of weight reduction in their more hefty flatware, not to skimp on metal in already thin/light flatware.In short, this spoon is small and they probably should have used more metal, but the metal is nonetheless fairly strong, and the overall impression of quality is high, so long as it is used on its own with a small dish, and not set out next to higher quality flatware.
