Usually, we cook with the upward side, because it has a lip on the outer edge to prevent food from falling. We recommend that it is better to cook with the upward side. Enjoy your BBQ time!

Q: I just bought a new weber q1200. i would like to buy the griddle accessory. which one do i need to fit the grill properly?

Right, I have the Q1200 also. So the 6558 (12.6" x 8.6"x 0.5") should be the ticket. I also have a full griddle for the entire grilling surface. I use the full often for breakfast (cooking bacon/sausage). Prefer turkey bacon though. Less of a grease cleanup. Don't remember where I ordered it from. Do a search. Happy camping, George

Q: Is this enameled as it says in the description or is it just seasoned cast iron? People are talking about seasoning, but you don't season enameled.

It’s not enamel it’s kind of rough cast iron. Would work ok for hamburgers etc but did not work well for cooking eggs when camping. Blackstone works much better since it’s a smooth cast iron.

Fits the Webber Q2200 perfectly for a good price

I bought this for my new Webber Q2220. Webber was out of stock for the griddle so I searched on Amazon and found this one. Not only does it fit perfectly but it was much cheaper than the Webber brand. I’ve only used it a couple times so far but it’s working pretty good. The grill pad I have to clean it isn’t working well so I have to find something else that will do the job which is why I gave cleans easily only 4 stars
