Great quality.
Have been using this product for quite some time now. It sit atop a 65 gallon rectangle aquarium. The light shines beautifully through from top to bottom adding plenty of light for all your aquarium decor and fish. The 24 hour light setting is a perfect added touch. Emulating the daily light cycle in life. If for any reason it becomes unplugged or you lose power, simply set the timer to the nearest hour indicator to get back on track. It will cycle through orange, white, blue and over night eventually turn completely off until “sunrise” for the next morning. Good quality, great value for money, functionality, and fits the tank perfectly.

The only brand I really buy for aquarium lighting
The only brand I will buy pretty much. They work, and work well. The timer on this is great, and easy to set up. I've had this for a while now and no issues. The only thing, is if you have it really close to the water, and water continuously splashes up on it, the side arms will rust. That being said, you don't want your light really close to the water anyways, so most of the time it's not an issue. They are sturdy aquarium lights. The arms are extendable to a point, as noted in the description and overall just a well designed aquarium light that is quality and has good aesthetics.

Some customization limitations but an absolutely tremendous value
I purchased the 48-54 inch model and it fits perfectly over a 55-gallon long tank, a common standard the aquarium industry. I highly recommend this, especially if you are currently using the legacy fluorescent bulbs over the top of your aquarium now. With full-spectrum LED lighting, the colors in my tank now appears much more vibrant over the previous fluorescent setup I employed previously.I use the 24/7 lighting option, which manages the lighting from dim and red light at the crack of dawn, until the light becomes brighter and more vibrant until the peak brightness of midday. Then, late in the afternoon the lighting ramps back down again until post-sunset, when the light becomes blue for an hour or two before switching off again at night. This really is nice and wasn't possible in a single lighting system until full-spectrum LEDs became the standard. This product isn't perfect. The lack of custom time setting options, a digital clock or color wheel found in some of the more expensive LED products make the configuration options somewhat more limited, non-intuitive and difficult, without the use of the instruction manual.Still, I think there is tremendous value here for the money, especially if you're looking to dip your toes into the LED lighting world for your aquarium. I love it and won't go back.

Love the 24/7 light feature!
The light I replaced was an older Hygger light. It worked ok, wasn't full spectrum but enough to grow low tech plants. It had a manual dimmer and brightness function. I had to babysit this through the day. I then saw this newer version, but kept using my older one. Flash forward to a month or so ago. I got tired of manually operating my light, so I upgraded. I am so glad I did.I only use the 24/7 function on this light because it's great and does what I need it to do. The set color combinations are excellent and it shows off the colors in my tank and my livestock. Towards the late night hours when the lights become predominantly blue, my night owls come out and I can actually enjoy seeing them in action. Best of all, it shuts itself off and then back on in the morning! I have to say with this upgraded light compared to the older model, my plants are growing bigger, healthier and look happier. Now for the lower cost of this light compared to others, there are some caveats... the 24/7 light feature is set as is. You can't change the time length, light intensity or colors. It's set in stone. You have to live with it. The only thing you can adjust, and through trickery, is the on and off time. The attached controller has set times on how to do this. So for example, if you want to set the light to stay on an hour later, the controller has 8 am, I would hit the 8 am setting at my current 9 am. If you want the light to go off an hour earlier, than you would set it an hour earlier than what the controller says. This however will still offset the ON time +/- whatever time you choose. Also the instructions and this listing says the set stock time of lights off is 22:30 but in actuality, the light does not turn off for another 20 minutes. 22:30 sets it to the final stage before shut off. The controller unfortunately does not have memory. If you experience power failure or cut power to the light, then you have to manually set your light timing again.. it's a little of a pain trying to remember the instructions or having to wait for the proper offset time (if needed). The legs on this unit.. you only get the short option. I really wanted my light higher from the top of my tank. The old Hygger had the option of 2 different set of legs. One was a little bit higher. I had to rig something up to do that, but it's still not really where I wanted it to be.Even with those caveats, the 24/7 feature works great for me, but I can see it not working for everyone. Especially if you don't have a planted tank. The length of lighting might be too much and might be an issue for me if I didn't have floating plants to block/absorb some of the light. However currently, this automated light has made my life much easier and gives me more enjoyment from my tank looking at all the vibrant colors.

Excellent aquarium light with full spectrum of color choices
While it's not cheap, this is an excellent aquarium light. There are about nine different color option settings for a full range to grow the best plants. I like that one can set a period for the light to be on as well. The instructions are relatively simple as is the setup. Another benefit is that it sits just above the aquarium so as not to glare at people trying to look at the tank. Other than price, I can't think of any negative aspects of this light.I do recommend it for low-tech maintenance setups and reasonable energy use.
