My cat actually likes it!
I have a cat that does not like any type of fish - not raw, fried, boiled, dried, or baked; not even if something is fish flavored- he hates it! I am so thankful for this product! It's maple flavored and he will lick it off my finger. I've tried a different kind that was fish flavored and it ended up all over from my cat shaking his head to get it out of his mouth - yuck, it was a mess! I am very happy to have this product!

Who would have figured that cats would like maple?
From my point of view, this smells far better than the fish flavored hairball remedy. Surprisingly, the cats love it. My only criticism is that it is runnier than the other Tomlyn products we have used, and it requires care to keep it from dripping everywhere when dispensing. Not enough of an issue to drop a star, but be aware.

Cat Enjoys the Old, Refuses This New One
The description says, "Tomlyn." The tube we received appears as pictured here in Amazon, yet no where can we find the word, "Tomlyn" on it. We still have a little of the old tube. Our kitty eagerly licks it down, but it's nose up and walk away, when offering a bead from this tube. Same Maple flavor.

Acceptable
but don't appreciate having to use petroleum products for my cat's health. However, the cat will take a small piece, and I don't need to use that often, keep in refrigerator and take out shortly before use or too runny. Wanted organic but the two companies that made organic hairball quit.

Not a Gel. More Like a Liquid
Bought this for a long-haired dog. The product is runny and thin, more like sticky water than gel which makes it difficult to offer a pet. The liquidity means a MESS, too, since the product leaks from the opening onto the top.If you want an easy-to-dose GEL, don't buy this brand. I know I won't again.
