Can't beat them
Can't go wrong with Ghirardelli dark chocolate, never found any better. I especially like the fact that the almond is in small pieces throughout the square, rather than having to chew a whole nut and the rest of the bar/square having no nuts. I provide them to friends and helpers, some of whom can't chew well. They are a favorite of many. Ghirardelli does not ship in hot weather but Amazon does, making them available year round. Highly recommend.

What’s Not to Love??!
Ghirardelli’s chocolates have been my favorites since my one and only trip to San Francisco back in 1988!

Wonderful but expensive, especially with additional shipping.
I was pretty addicted to these, but when you don’t get a break on shipping if you buy more than one bag it’s hard to justify. $6 per bag shipping, I’m looking for another option. They do send on an offer ice pack at least.

The Ruined Candy
I ordered the 6 bag deal. I had to throw nearly all of them away. Very few of the individually wrapped pieces of candy had not changed to very light color- they were ruined. I was very disappointed.

My new "comfort food" dark chocolate
This has become my "comfort food" chocolate. It's the baseline for which all other dark chocolate is compared. The sea salt brings out the chocolate flavor and sweetness in a way you would never believe if you haven't tried chocolate with sea salt. The almonds add a hint of nutty flavor that isn't overpowering. Ghirardelli adds some chocolate liquor to tie it all together. I'm one of those people who goes out of their way to avoid milk chocolate. It's simply too sweet for my tastes and it has too much sugar.

Not as many as there used to be
I still have some bags of this chocolate that I bought last year and kept in the refrigerator to keep them fresh. When I opened one I was stunned to see 24 squares in it. The ones I recently bought back east where I also live only have about 12 or so. What a rip off. Just because they can do it doesn't make it right. Won't be buying anymore even though they are very good. Plenty of options for dark chocolate.
