Poor editing and quality control.
I don’t normally write many reviews but I felt that something needed to be said about the poor editing and quality control in this book. This book might have some decent material but it is hard to overlook the editing errors in this book. There are multiple instances where there are missing letters out of words. Unfortunately there are also many grammatical mistakes.Could be a good book if they would fix the errors.

Excellent book to introduce Eastern readers to the Occidental perspective of bonsai as both a discipline, and an art form
Not a exactly a How To book. More about the big picture, and framing that knowledge within the traditional understanding of options for bonsai creation, growing/training, and doing so within the constraints of the art forms traditions. But still loaded with good practical advice. For example, what to do about your plants when you are going on vacation? Seems like a small thing, but such advice is super important for serious, but novice, practitioners. Not a long book. But one well worth reading, and taking serious notes from, clearly advice from an expert well worth noting.

Very informative
Incredibly helpful for a bonsai beginner like myself. This book offers great information and helpful drawings to demonstrate the advice.

Save your money. Many better books out there.
Many typos, very low quality production. Facts are good, but many better books out there.

It's a black and white book without a single colour photo
The media could not be loaded. Felt cheated. Not worth the money at all. Don't buy.

Okay
It’s more for outdoor than indoor

Looks good
Just received this and it looks very informative and well laid out. However, it didn’t reach a 5 star rating as the product description of contents said this book “contains a long list of 54 types of Bonsai” which the book doesn’t. Tried to report this under ‘incorrect product information’ but that link wouldn’t work.

Very nice book
Nice book with plenty of advice and information.I would say that this book is more for an intermediate rather than a beginner as there is a lot of technical speak in the text.A good read but don't expect loads of beautiful pictures, there are very few and mostly sketches.

Explanationally excellent.
Very good explanation in all chapters some though, could have content more information. But overall a very good book. My advice buy the hard cover version the paper back doesn’t keep as well.
