I am a biology teacher and always look for new things for my classroom. I am so happy to find this amazing slide set with a guide of a lot information! The whole set came in a nice package. With proper protection, all the glass slides came perfectly fine. The slides set in a plastic box which is nice and handy. A piece of sponge on the lid protect all the slides well and safe. I can say all the slides were prepared pretty professional. The samples are easily observed and stained beautifully. I am pretty happy about their collection of slides, which cover all aspects of biology: plants, animals, microorganism. Then, I will talk about the best part of the set. Two amazing guidebooks contain some wonderful information and pictures that I can use in my classroom. It is a real “guidebook” that you can almost learn everything about the specimen step by step like someone teach you by your side. The pictures are really professional, and I can see exactly what they want to show us. Each slide has its own section. You definitely can learn a lot of background by going through the content. I plan to use these slides as well as the book in my biology classroom by showing my students with microscopes. With such information as support, I am pretty sure my students will learn something new and love it. There is also another smaller manual that tell you how to make your own slides. There are several activities in the manual which look fun and useful. I am sure I will try them in the coming lessons. Overall, this 25-slide set is a wonderful tool for a biology teacher like me. I believe it will also be fun to study by your own or as homeschool parents. Love it and you will, too!

Nice set of general interest slides. Nice variety and good quality. The books are excellent and are written for more advanced readers, maybe college level. I read the book through before showing the slides to my 4/6/8 year old boys. This helped me explain on a basic level what they were seeing. Such background is always helpful. Even the highly active 4 year old showed more than 30 minutes of interested attention. And he came back later to ask for more.Great set all around and well worth the money.

The quality of these slides is absolutely AMAZING. While they aren't the cheapest if you solely look at "# of slides per $", they are totally worth the money. The actual quality/clarity/volume of material on each slide is terrific -- entire mosquito heads, large cross sections of brain tissue, etc.If you are looking at these items and comparing to the either the "48 slide kids" sets from AmScope or Jiusion -- there is NO comparison. Just buy these.I use these with my 5 year old son, and with other slide sets it's just "oh, look. That's interesting" and move on after 30 seconds, with these slides we spend many minutes talking through each of the many details you can see on each slide. And the book they come with is REALLY thorough so I'm able to teach my son about the actual biology, instead of just naming what's on the slide.I really hope R's Science makes more kits in the future. I will be first in line to pre-order, and I hope many others do the same.

I don't write many reviews, but I felt motivated to describe this excellent science product. First, the 25 prepared slides are carefully crafted and much better than some of the other slides I have examined in cheaper sets. The selection of slides will satisfy any budding science student! Second, I think the pamphlets really set this kit apart. The "Guide to Your Microscope Slide Preparation and Stains" plus "The 25 Biology Lessons Under Your Microscope" are carefully written and wonderfully illustrated. This kit is more expensive than some other prepared slide kits, but I think the written material more than makes up for the price. Third, the website for R's Science provides wonderful support and additional learning opportunities once you start using a microscope. All-in-all, I would urge anyone who is just getting into microscopy to consider this kit. I think you will be well-satisfied.

Great product and awesome seller! I purchased this set for my classroom because it provides a nice range of specimens and I loved that it came with a book of information about each slide. My students enjoyed using the microscope to view the slides and learning about the samples they were viewing. Rachael even sent me a digital copy of the book so I could print the information to have at each station. I will definitely buy from R’s Science in the future!

I’m a retired engineer and technical instructor. I have a strong interest in life science and have teenage grandchildren who are home schooled. I am always looking for materials to enhance their education. I bought your slide set to evaluate your products and am pleased with the quality and presentation. I have plans to purchase additional items to flesh out my biology curriculum.

Rs Science did an amazing job here by offering a real "guided tour" of each of 25 slides. This allows not only to see interesting things but also to understand what you are seeing and get a lot of interesting background information. Slides are quite good quality for all types of observations. Even with a modest equipment you will be able to see lots of things, though more powerful microscope will reveal even more ! Thanks for this excellent job and I am looking forward for more "slides +explanation book" like this
