I love the jacket I was looking for a FR JACKET! And I’m in love with this one, a bit expensive but that’s Fr! Really recommended this jacket

I live in a warm area with rare cold snaps, but needed a good FR coat for a very cold weather work trip. I ended up buying this in Large and Extra Large to see what fit better.Pros-1. The "full swing" features of the sleeve construction allow easy arm movement and work with no binding or bunching. LOVE THAT.2. Integrated drawstrings mean I can adjust my hood without worrying about hazardous dangling drawstrings.3. Warm without being bulky.4. Functional pockets outside and in.Opportunities for improvement-1. Skinny girl arms. Who do they think needs an FR Coat? It is not 16 year old models. Even sized up I had to be careful how I held my shirt sleeves when putting this on, or they would get bunched up inside the coat sleeves.2. No waist or hip draw cord. This was a big miss, since it is designed for cold weather, but working created a lot of potential for updraft from the open bottom. Especially once I upsized.3. Unlined pockets. This seemed kinda dumb. The pockets are well placed and decent sized, but are just unlined fabric. If I had needed them for warmth, they wouldn't have been much use.4. No D-ring - I would've appreciated a D-ring to attach a carabiner or glove strap. hHis is a small addition that would've enhanced the overall package.5. If you are going to give me a big ass hood, make sure it will fit over my hardhat. It was SO CLOSE. Like, it WOULD fit over my bucket, but then it lifted off my shoulders and sat kinda weird. Easy fix. ITS AN FR COAT - the likelihood we might need hardhats is pretty up there.Overall I feel good about this purchase. I wasn't able to try them on in-store or compare side by side with the Men's Version, although I HAD tried on a Men's a few months prior. UNLIKE so many Carhartt and workwear options, these did NOT seem generously size. I would say true to size WITHOUT considering bulky base layers. So if you are going to wear a hoodie or insulated bibs, you might buy a size up from your regular clothes size.

Great jacket

Two FR coats are available for women, Carhartt and Ariat. And honestly, I preferred Ariat's.Although this coat is warm, it is very uncomfortable. The material is very stiff and the outside pockets are inconvenient to get to. (I did like the inside pockets availabl though.) The zippers were entirely made of plastic. This could have to do with the FR rating, but they are flimsy and I do not see them lasting long. The hood is shaped weird, which may be useful for hardhats, but it stayed open and did not flatten. This caused a concern for me, since I do not need my hood bumping into things inside a control house.Aesthetically, I am not a fan either. The blue color was nice. It was very ill fitting though.Made large. I wear medium shirts, I bought a medium and I could easily layer with a hoodie and then some. Although adding the extra hood would be a bit ridiculous.Pros: warm, large enough to layer, multiple inside pocketsCons: rigid, all plastic zippers, front pockets inconvenient, awkward hood, not flattering

Looks well made and seems like it would be warm. A little stiff feeling but the biggest issue is the inside of the sleeves are extremely itchy and caused a rash within 3 minutes of trying it on. Not sure if it’s the chemicals used to make it FR or WR or just fabric choice but absolutely can not wear it. Pictures included of the inside of the sleeves and jacket. Not sure why they lined the sleeves with a rough itchy fabric but I have never had a jacket cause a rash and did not know it was even possible. The hood also fits odd. Obviously returning which is too bad cause it would have been a cute jacket if the sleeves were just lined with a soft non itchy fabric. Was looking for a WR jacket and there are not too many options so I was excited when I saw the FR jacket and it would have been a bonus around the campfire for camping trips. Looks like I will keep searching for an outdoor hiking, camping, sporting activity jacket that is WR.

I used the carhartt size guide and the coat is one size too big. I am dealing with it though the biggest part is the belly so air gets in at the waist line. The warmth of the coat is unbelievable. Super happy with that. Wish there was no hood since it is useless. if you wear FR you wear a hard hat and the hood is too small to go over the hat and too big to go under it. This coat without a hood would be awesome.
